[Discussion] Cessna Corvalis TT 400 for MSFS 2020

Personal Comments and Observations

This is the 2024 version back-ported to 2020.

Edited after some deep-diving.

Not great - both displays showing a PFD.

Got it working. It was a first time run glitch. PFD and MFD are now correctly displayed.

Many defects carried over from MSFS 2024.

I’ll stand on the above comment - many of the same UI gaffes (hover tips, interface directions, arrows, rotation axes) still persist. Flight Model is still squirrely, especially on take-off- yes I’m talking about the excessive amount of rudder input required, and the occasional runaway pitch trim.

Carenado didn’t fix anything.

They did fix the Pitot Heat light - it illuminates on and off now, whereas on 2024, it’s lit all the time.

This one’s going back assuming my refund gets processed.

Good thing I got the PFD/MFD to work otherwise I’d be incensed as they of course rejected my request.

And out of all the things you may notice when you perform a C&D the first time on this port - you have BATT / MASTER AVIONICS and ALTERNATORS all ON and the screens are blank or dim. It seems the code went out the door with both dimmer switches set to MIN. That’s annoying as heck.

This is the kind of QA gaffe that annoys the living daylights out of me - and yes, I’m a QA for another Dev Partner studio, so I eat the dog food. It’s not like this is a corner case that was missed as a fine nuance. I perform C&Ds numerous times to look for stuff like this so the players don’t have a terrible experience. Come on guys, we’re better than this.

Icing on the stale cake - the checklist mentions neither ALT ON step nor check Dimmers. Someone coming in not ever having seen the aircraft will understandably be thinking “this is seriously busted.” Sigh.
