Do we have any insight on when they are going to drop dx12 update?
same time as the xbox series x/s release. at least that what Jorg and the dev team has said constantly. They have not confirmed a exact date yet but probably inthe same 2 weeks or the same day!
yes, thatās what they claimed
My guess is that Ultra settings on Xbox will be similar to Medium-High End on PC. History has shown that in all games that are cross platform the graphics settings on PCs are always more customisable and more detailed when set to the highest. I doubt the Xbox version will be exactly the same on Ultra but weāll see. Donāt forget that you can run the sim at low graphics but in 4K. I think we need to see how the Ultra setting on Xbox compares to Ultra on PC.
Jorg talked about an eventual Xbox beta testing the last developer q&a and that they will decide āin the next few weeksā. When you guys in the community think they will have a final decision?!
im in the boat (plane) as you waiting to hear on a betaā¦cant wait for this ā¦been waiting a long timeā¦hope yo see you in the skies
yeah me too!! I only bought a series x for mfs!
im on the series s ā¦this is gonna be epic
Aha! I think you should have choosen a series x instead! Every inch of power is needed in order for this simulator to run as good as possible! Im am very excited though to see some trailers or footage from series s. We have only got trailers from seriex x?! I honestly think the simulator will look good in series s but not anywhere near series x since is only have 1/3 of series x“s power. I guess we will have to wait and see!
where have you seen that?
See the links I posted earlier in this topic.
The performance improvements are related to the Xbox release, which will benefit PC users too. Not sure why some mix that with DirectX12.
Probably in the next few weeks.
I think people are getting their hopes up of a constant ultra, 4k, 60fps on xbox. Iām sure itāll run fine flying GA in the wilderness somewhere, but Iād be incredibly surprised if it can do that at major photogrammetry city airport on a busy traffic day.
Iām sure there will be some adaptive graphics settings going on.

Hi Guys,
I have only one question. Will we see some 3th Party addons like flybywire A320 or all the planes in the marketplace also in the xbox Version? Or are the 3th Party addons like the flybywire a320,pmdg and the marketplace addons pc exklusive?
Best regards

Hereās the answer youāre looking for:
Will my Marketplace purchases carry over to the Xbox version?
- Microsoft Flight Simulator will be updated on all available platforms to feature cross-save timed with its launch on Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to transfer DLC that was produced by Microsoft/Asobo and progress over to whichever platform they prefer. DLC produced by third-party developers might be transferable, but that is a decision made by each third party development team.
- NOTE: DLC purchased on a Steam version will not work on Xbox.
Thatās coming to DCS World. Itās called M.A.C. Modern Air Combat. Itās been in development for a long time, and is expected Q3 of this year. Itās a relaxed version of DCS World, with simplified avionics and radar modes, so you can still enjoy jet combat, without having to invest hundreds of hours to learn the basics of the radars.
Iāll look into it - I love DCS but donāt have the time currently to sink into learning the deeper systems of the more advanced toys like the F18⦠first Iāve heard of MAC so Iāll go have a read, cheers for the info.
There is only one hardware configuration to take care for. Some code will be for sure compiled in a special version for the Xbox hardware. Then you donāt have a full windows under the hood. Memory can be used for the smaller os and the game only. This makes a difference. The ssd is blazing fast. The only thing variable is the internet connection and the Azure performance for all of us which can for sure have a very negative impact.
