Who can wait a year (unless its for an Update to MSFS that will fix a bug that has been there from release day)
I would vote for MONTHLY, if not only for the fact that is MORE Prizes, and MSFS gets update every few months, which may well make a difference to the racing dynamics.
makes sense, something must be done about this, now I got to the point where I’m not gaining any points if winning against lower ranked opponents either, I guess there’s no real match making, probably not enough players for that, one just get in a race with whoever’s available
I’d rather wait longer to be put in a race with players in my range
at least our win - race ratio is improving lol
I’m assuming the top score one can have in a category is 2500, so it’s reasonable we can’t just keep gaining points, we all would end up having 2500
I had a race today where I just kept exploding lol, without anyone being around me, then found out my opponent was lagging real bad

Same, having like seasons, and how about custom paint jobs as prizes? Also prizes for participating in a season to keep players interested?
Yes that’s what i meant, no an actual yearly reset but like in the real world where there are annual competition. Once month seems to be ideal for us.
yeah there is a view profile option that doesn’t work for me lol, that would help somewhat, being able to see if it’s worth starting the race at all
We have this on Hell let loose, a seasonal competition with teams from every country.

just not sure what the prizes could be, was thinking of custom paint jobs because we don’t have too many official options, that other players can see so it would be a way of showing off lol, I think anything bigger than that would be a bit unrealistic to expect
new planes would be great of course, but those are a lot of work to make

I’ll try to get there and then we can compare times to see if that makes any difference
best time is a correct indicator of a player’s skill. But at that momet any skilled player who rarely plays (and has low score) has an advantage in participating in races with high-scored players, because he does not risk losing points, only the opportunity to earn a lot at once in one race
I think that the winner will already have the best joystick
also im not sure if it’s only me, but weather seems to affect time, like in strong wind my laps are somewhat worse, if that really is the case than it needs to be considered as well
Seems logical to me, wind affect performances.
see, this is why i don’t like flying 1 vs 1, unless you end up against a decent player, it’s plain boring…
i did 5 races today and they were all like this one.
I’m not sure, but warming up the engine oil also affects the result. Without engine control, after 3 laps at full rpm and throttle the plane becomes a little slower
