Discussion + Poll: Sim Update 10 (1.27.21.0)

Nothing. You’re already on the public release if you were in SU10 Beta.

Can confirm DLSS is absolutely usless, none of the options give any FPS benefits

If you are on the beta programme then I believe you will already have the latest version 1.27.21.0 which was pushed to beta testers last week

It is my understanding that you would want to keep it, because it will allow 3rd party aircraft that use the G1000 to use the NXi rather than the old default Asobo version. Once all 3rd party devs update their aircraft to use the new default WT version (if they even do), then this “add-on” won’t be necessary.

My menu and flights are all lagging now

I have a 3090ti and a 5900x with 64GB on a 3000mb sec M.2 and the performance is terrible. There’s this smearing effect going on in DX11 and DX 12.. DX12 is still unplayable. and now DX11 is unplayable. I waited for this update to fix everything but it didn’t.

Maybe the Nvidia driver will fix all this once it comes out but im having my doubts on it.

There’s a rather large thread about that bug in the beta section of the forum. Apparently, there is a workaround involving, I think, alt-enter, moving the window, alt-enter back to fullscreen.

I just went Xbox insder app its still shows that beta testing that is why I was asking

For DX12 newer NVDIA drivers are not yet available, need some patience, the current DX12 beta will not use the latest change for performance optimisation.

Remember to reboot your computer after installing the update as always.

I’m on DX11, not using the beta DX12 and you don’t need DX12 to run DLSS

Well, this is turning out be a disappointment. After having had the amazing performance in the first beta with popout panels and instruments in both DX11 and DX12.

Today, I opted out of Beta and installed the new nVidia Studio driver after SU10 release.

With DX11, performance is even worse with popouts now.

SU9, I got about 35 fps.

SU10 Beta (with exception of the initial beta), I lost NO performance at all.

In the final few SU10 bets that DX11 performance had dropped to 30 fps.

With new new Studio driver, I’m down to 20 fps.

DX12 performs admirably. I lose 5 fps with popouts (down to 50 fps), but I see broken ground textures everywhere now, same as they were in the beta.

I didn’t think they could make it worse, but someone at Asobo said “hold my wine”.

Ahhh, No.

Please, everyone. The optimisation has nothing to do with driver. Optimisation is a sim thing. All the driver does is stop the trees that appear in sky when the optimisation is in the sim.

I have store version. I opened the store, checked for updates and it downloaded an update around 1.7gb.

I then restarted computer, opened MSFS and got to a screen where it was going to update but it said I did not have enough space on my hard drive (70gb free, so strange it would say that). I selected another drive, the update screen closed and MSFS started normally.

At the top of my screen it says I have 1.27.21.0 however nothing was downloaded besides the store update.

Any ideas or suggestions? I’ve already tried to restart twice, went back to the store again etc.

Why are the pfd screens blurry with dlss

I’ve tried both “Low” and “Ultra” precaching and get stutters in either case. Better than before, but still there.

Par for the course, unfortunately.

They choose what to fix now and what to push to SU11. That’s how it goes. Several of the bugs discussed in the beta were not fixed in SU10.

VR mode causes instant CTD even on menu (Quest 2).

Studio driver is not meant for games. You will need to wait the real game ready driver. simple as that.
