Like others have said, I encountered the same problem with the Nordic update, but restarting the sim fixed the problem, allowing it to be updated.
I love your work! I fly out of Auburn Muni IRL- I would love for S50 to get your skillsā¦
I had to install the mandatory uptade yesterday but didnāt fly, no time. Today first flight and ctd before landing. Hadnāt had a ctd for a very long time. It was running perfect. I havenāt even installed the optional wux. Iām dreading SU10
Looks like they forgot to update the premium deluxe KSFO that has gate numbering on the building to match their update World Map numbering which now reflects what 3rd party charts like Navigraph have shown for months. Gates on the world map now have the correct terminal/gate number but the in sim āhandcraftedā version still shows the old numbering.
Itās nice that they are bringing some updates to older handcrafted airports, but itās pretty annoying that SeaTac didnāt get updated.
What I noticed with WU X, using VR G2, my GPU fan goes into max speed every 5 minutes or so for a few seconds.
Thanks for the tip, I never noticed that.
Hey, has anyone seen the Appalachian Bush trip? Itās not in my update. Was it only for Deluxe owners because of the aircraft used?
One of the new cities with photogrammetry in WU10 is Charleston, West Virginia. The City of Charleston now looks gorgeous and very life-like. The developers are doing a wonderful job. However, on my sim setup, the area immediately surrounding Charleston, WV, is now a total mess after WU10. Iām posting some pictures of what Iām talking about. Could some of you experts check on my observations? If you fly out of KCRW (Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV) and head West, do you see the barren landscape and complete absence of trees that are present in my screen captures? Before WU10, this area was full of beautiful trees. Please tell me. Itās very possible Iāve messed up my installation. But I donāt want to reinstall if others are experiencing the same problem that I am. Thanks for helping me!
The City of Charleston in at Top Right and looks perfect. The area around Charleston, however, looks like the surface of the Moon. Is it me or the sim with the issue here?
The photogrammetry area around Boise Airport and the city is also having some serious issues. Looks like the river overflowed and covered parts of the city and has some severe deformities in the water around the airport. Also looks like the satellite imagery doesnāt blend well with surroundings you can see a clear line dividing the colors. You can spawn and fly the drone around, or just look at the @Verticalsim Facebook.
Honestly the pictures donāt do it justice. Looks a lot worse when flying around.
Hereās the pics that he uploaded:
I cannot download the 8.50mb update of the WU NORDICā¦any idea, please? It tries to download making automatically a couple of attempts but then fail. I tried to delete NORDIC and reinstall but again I cannot install the small patch. All the other patches have been applied properly.
Thank you
Quit and restart the game then update Nordic again, fixed it for me.
Yep, I had a quick fly there yesterday to test something for another forum user and was shocked at what a state it was. Some serious water clean up work needs to happen. As you say, your pics dont do any justice to how poor it actually is.
OK it would be kinda funny if they used photo-data recording the last flood without knowing it.
Was there a flood there?
Can confirm comes with this error in your messages
Restart was needed, I even tried delete and reinstall no-go until restart.
US landlocked state, lol, most likely
I looked at the bing satellite imagery and it looks like the river bank is surrounded by trees and the color closely resembles the river. My thoughts are that itās interpreting the trees as part of the water.
Even then thereās still some serious morphing and blending issues
Yikes. That does look pretty bad.
You have a good point. Iām not one of those American-centric types, right now Iām focused on flying airlines on routes I have taken in RL (mostly Eastern US). I will get around to doing some low and slow flying to take in some of those areas. They do sound quite beautiful.
