Update and UK package downloaded without any issues.
The attention to detail is amazing and it’s the little things such as the different roof textures on suburban houses that’s going to keep me flying in the UK for a long time. None of the UK now feels repetitive.
Yeah. Especially if this is explicitly advertised as a world update, and not a simulation update rolleyes. The simulation update focuses on bug fixes and possibly new features, too. And it has already been announced for end of this (or next, can’t remember) month.
That is not to say that world updates might not include minor (or even critical) bug fixes as well (e.g. the “spikes” problem should be fixed now). But again, they are here to provide scenery updates - nothing more.
I’m not referring just to this one update but to Asobos problems making inroads into the massive techincal debt that was accrued by launching months too early.
While I’m not one for whinging, I do notice they broke the AI again, it simply shuts down the engines on the runway rather than taxiing to the the gate.
Wow the glass half empty brigade are out in force. If you don’t like it, get a refund and move on. Go and buy AFS2 or Flyinside, or go back to XP11. Some people don’t know they are born.
Yes, I can confirm lights in 3rd party airports in places they don’t belong.
But besides that small problem I think Asobo and Microsoft did a great job! Thank you, guys! I really love this sim! Just took the CJ4 (working title) for a spin around London. Simply fantastic! I‘ll be spending hours over England! There’s so much to discover.
The sim is running smooth and the spikes are gone! Thx!
Everything seemed to be running much smoother after the update, although I wasn’t seeing an increase in FPS.
Turns out it seems that GSync now works when set to “fullscreen mode” in nvidia control panel, up until now I’d only managed to get it to activate when set to “windowed and fullscreen”.
Also the minor sky flickering that was present with Gsync enabled is no longer present, which is nice.
This is a discussion and feedback thread for World Update Three. If the AI has deteriorated then @CaptChaos068 was well within their right to post their observation.
Im a very patient simmer but now Im really fed up with this updating behaviour.
How often should I search for solutions to have a normal update procedure for this game?
Im 53 and I dont like to wait
I found a lot of suggestions to solve this issue. But it canceled on downloading big files.
Yesterday it shows me to download about 23 gib , today 83 gib again.
please Asobo solve it or I throw it from my high end pc.
It would have been nice if you had commented on the original snarky comment instead of my repeating it TO the person whose snark I was making fun of. That aside. Your game is broken I cannot get past the update as I posted. Thanks for your concern and fairness in moderation, dude. Now, how about a fix and stop wasting my time for a game I paid the full Ultimate version price for, or bug off. Thanks.
Seems a bit like the world update from the marketplace is not properly downloaded and/or installed, had the same issue with London, deleted it and re-downloaded it.
Regarding the flight model, this starting to get satirical, just quickly tried the C152, which seems to work fine?
Overall I’d say since the “sim” got released, the had content after content update, breaking game mechanics and introducing more bugs with every one if it?!
Terrible performance, yes, though I’m not sure of the cause. I also got the slow download warning pop up, which I’d not seen before. I assume the two are linked, and the speeds I was seeing are related to either the massive number of players there hammering the download servers, or the fact I had to use a VPN to even download the update as I appeared throttled to 1mpbs.
I might try London with the VPN running, and see if that makes any difference. Every where but London that I’ve tried so far has been fine, though.
I’ve only flown the 172 so far, and it didn’t feel any different than before. Easy to trim, very stable, and didn’t float excessively. I actually managed a 22kt crosswind landing at Calais, and stuck the centre line. Very chuffed about that.
