B307 stratoliner coming as local legend from Airplane Heaven

That was awesome - so much to look forward to. The “I don’t want MSFS 2024” brigade are more than welcome to stick with 2020 if they want. I’m on that 2024 bus though!

Amazing presentation. MSFS 2024 looks to become an awesome thing!

Sounds like a bad idea for people with bad internet like me while playing. Also is this an end to offline mode, shoddy though it was?

I didn’t get that impression - it sounded like you can download more locally if you want to reduce streaming - but we will see when we get more detail

Realistically a game that simulates the world in real time is going to depend on a decent internet connection. I don’t see why this would impact offline mode however, and I’m sure you’ll have the option on PC to cache as much as you like. But there is no point holding back the game to support poor connections - the future is online / cloud gaming.

I can only afford a poor connection. It works well enough for the current sim. I’m not on pc.

Oh man…. What did they announce

Well, that’s put the cat among the MSFS2024 pigeons now hasn’t it…

Then you’ll be able to keep playing the current sim, for a while at least. But technology always marches on like it or not. Otherwise we’d still be here with version 1.

I’ll try and get more information if I can.

I didn’t understand the point about Kilimanjaro. Were they saying they were using satalite data for some sort of AI based photogrametry like thing. Is this maybe what Black Shark has been working on?

They called it 3d from 2d using satellite imagery

I can’t get any screen shots as I shut down the Twitch stream, but Nicky announced modular inter-connectable touchscreens that can give you glass cockpits configurations from a 172 to a 737 and anything in between.
