DIY FFB 360N addon to WinWing rudder, openFFBoard,

motor ~$250

laser cutting with material ~$150

openFFBoard (with motor driver) $200

pulleys, timing belt, bearings, screws etc. ~100$

encoder + programmer ~15$

power supply ~$60, 48V 10A, (I have 24V 20A, and at 50% power max usage was 3A)

WinWing Orion rudders ~$300

works with xpforce ~$10 (if you use it for yoke/stick, it should work together, what I know some commercial yoke use xpforce)

tig brazing 30min (adapter plate on rudder pedals)

lathe work ~1hour (to modify pulleys, and make pocket for magnet for magnetic encoder)

armchair (from car with electric adjust) +frame + ~250$

In to compare with stock WinWing they feel like them without spring and dumper at lowest (or neer to lowest) setting. completely smooth.

cogging/stickines are completely FREE.

and with software you can simulate as you want by FFB.

openffboard project have some years (for ffb wheels) so it’s quite mature in my opinion.
