Do a barrel roll! (random MP encounter thread)

What are some of your best random encounters with other players? Recently I was flying past the VAB and Shuttle Landing Facility and happened to witness someone landing what looked like a 747 on the runway while being paced by a spotter jet.

Over at Glacier Park Int’l I was attempting to fly out in a C152 but icing conditions rendered me unable to fly faster than 70kts so I turned back to the airport and landed, took off and tried again, same result. But someone else at the airport decided to be my wingman and followed me around, we even landed together one time.

Funniest story for me so far was when I was just cruising along the shore of Boca Raton and noticed my shadow was acting funny and didn’t match my plane and initially was like sigh this game… then I saw my actual shadow and realized I was being overtaken by another aircraft! Looked around in time to see an Extra 300 fly by then try to barrel roll (Peppy fans anyone?) but ended up in an inverted dive. RIP

I had that happen once in the DC-6 when I took of at EGNX heading towards France. I was escorted by a Spitfire until I left the UK behind me. It was a really nice experience of Multiplayer. The Spit just stayed ~50 ft next to my left wing.

There are other occasions when “live” is quite annoying, for example when you want to line up and there is a Bonanza doing 500 knots low passes all the time.
