Do MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe or MSFS 2020 Deluxe planes upgrade to the 2024 version if you buy the MSFS 2024 Standard version?

I just saw the 787 selectable in the menu for Kenco in his Twitch livestream. But I assume Kenco bought the 2024 Aviator or 2024 Premium Deluxe version.

That’s troubling that some people who bought the 2020 Premium Deluxe version can’t even select the Longitude or 787 to fly at all.

My Library is a mess. Not only can I not enable the Premium Deluxe aircraft, but they also enabled an addon that I purchased on the marketplace without my consent.

The addon in question is an airport. I have this airport addon disabled in MSFS 2020 because it’s heavy on the fps and I used an alternative addon. Apparently the dev made it compatible with MSFS 2024 and it was enabled by default. Now I can’t disable it.

It seems that it’s not possible to enable or disable content through My Library at the moment. Clicking on each content only gives the option to go to the marketplace, which is disabled.

The version of these aircraft in MSFS 2024 appears to be the upgraded version for MSFS 2024 and not the port of the 2020 version judging by the version number that appears in My Library.

Yeah I had some my 2020 third party marketplace stuff transfer over after I downloaded the add on support but my 787 and longitude never carried over. I also have a few things from 2020 that never came over either. Hope it’s just a server issue because I don’t wanna rebuy premium deluxe to get the stuff I had.

Yeah, that’s disconcerting that your 787 and Longitude didn’t carry over. I wish we had an official MSFS employee confirm:

  1. Why aren’t the 2020 Premium Deluxe or Deluxe planes not carrying over to MSFS 2024
  2. And if they do carry over eventually, whether they will be updated to the 2024 version

It would give us all a peace of mind, and also help some of us who want to purchase MSFS 2024, make the right decision to purchase the correct version of MSFS 2024.

Yes, I bought the Premium Deluxe version of FS2020 but I opted for the Standard Edition of FS2024 and I’m missing some planes like the Cirrus SR22, 787, and the Baron.

It’s also disappointing that you can no longer sort aircraft by jet, turboprop, and piston like you can in FS2020. I hope that feature can be patched into 2024.

I’ve just received the Premium Deluxe aircraft from 2020 in MSFS 2024

But the versions that appear in the menu to select are exactly the port of the MSFS 2020 version. However, in My Library, the upgraded version of these aircraft for MSFS 2024 appeared to me as well. But it also appears as ‘‘Not Installed’’ and My Library does not give me the option to download or stream them.

So, essentially My Library has enabled the port of the MSFS 2020 version and left the upgraded version for 2024 disabled for all of them and doesn’t allow me to change that…

But I think this at least answers once and for all the question of whether people who own MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe will get the upgraded version of these planes for MSFS 2024 or not.

UPDATE: It seems that someone at Microsoft heard my complaint and did exactly what I wanted to do for me: They disabled the port version and enabled the upgraded version of MSFS 2024 for all PD MSFS 2020 aircraft.

Here is the upgraded version of the 787-10 and Longitude running on MSFS 2024 Standard

What do you mean they enabled it for you? Like you specifically or everyone? My PD MSFS 2020 planes aren’t upgraded to 2024.
