How did you import settings from 2020?
Day 2 was not an auspicious start for me. I took a few minutes away from work just to see if I could start up and get into the sim. No queue today, but at 27% during loading, I had a CTD with no error message. After that, any attempt to restart the sim resulted in a cryptic error message and code as soon as the launcher splash screen appeared. In the XBox app, I tried to reset/repair the app but that also resulted in a cryptic error code. After restarting my PC, the sim showed as uninstalled. In the XBox app, I had the option to install again. I did so and once more pointed to my custom install location, and nothing actually downloaded.
After that set of misadventures, I was able to get back into the sim fairly quickly (3-1/2 minutes total loading time) but all my FS2020 content was again missing, with the message to restart to sim to see it. Of course I went through this yesterday already. I guess the CTD and XBox app shenanigans messed everything up there. Fortunately, the few control bindings I had managed to setup last night for the C152 were still working and I was able to make a short flight around KSFO before I had to go back to work.
Hopefully this afternoon I wonât have to do all this again a third time.

It just doesnât work.
Extreme long loadup times. Choosing the Inibuilds A320 and then wanting to park that aircraft on a Gate at EHAM never happens. Only a view from above to a clouddeck appears and thatâs it.
The servers are just not able to stream the content to my pc attached to the internet with a working 500 Mbit fiber connection.

It was a âSelectâ option when binding new settings in control panel. My Choices were, New profile settings name? 2024 something or the other, and bindings/ settings? from 2020. Use for all planes? and default? I selected both. Iâll try a screenshot later and post. It got most all keypad functions but missed a few in my flight controls,ie throttle. I find using the search helps find things better. I would have never found some bindings without the search function.I deleted all default settings from 2024 and then applied mine.So far so good. Server issues will make you tear this sim apart looking for problems. I now just shut it off when an issue arrives, and next time sign in itâs fine. Maybe some coding conflicts with my add onâs occasionally, but I still believe servers are the ghost you canât find 90% of the time
I actually made it into KATL. I was going to fly to KLGA since I own that premium airport and it upgraded to MS2024 for free. I did not make the flight. The whole control setup is so different from MS2020 that it is very difficult at least for me. Made a lot of headway but then I went to external view and this is what I saw. I was in the Spirit A320n trying to start from cold and dark. Guess Iâll try another airport and see whatâs up!
Update: Now stuck at 98% (was: 97%) and GPU permanently at 96% playing the video (was 54%). This is amazing news! No CTD after 135 minutes.

This is just not working. After 24 hours I managed to start the app, but cant load into any flight. Just downloading for ever.
Iâm afraid that this is not a temporary simple problem.The full force of Azure cloud services cant fix it in more than 24 hours? Looks like âBack to the drawing boardâ.
KLGA is LaGuardia in NYC. Itâs not a Premium or Premium Deluxe airport in the sim. There are two 3rd party versions for FS2020: one from FeelThere which is decidedly meh, and another from MK Studios, which is much better. So far as I know, neither of those has been upgraded specifically for FS2024.

After more then 24 hours Iâm flying. Very lifelike the landscape.
Not texts on the instruments in the cockpit. Constant warning about my bandwidth. FSX looked even better

No what a mess am able to start now and then with a great deal of patience ut Canât get my flight yoke setup properly and had a few freezes ctrl alt del

Reminder: This is a very serious flight simulation forum with even more serious people who love to spend their time with imagining they were sitting in a small enclosure (cockpit) for hours and nothing ever happens.
