Started the game the first time… took a look into graphics settings… game crashed… since then in either login queue or server issue detected screen.
This was for the last 4 hours.
I pre-ordered, and this is the thank you.
Almost guaranteed! As soon as 2020 released on Xbox, the PC side was the ■■■■■■■ step child of the sim. Microsoft’s bread and butter is Xbox game pass and, I’m seeing lots of Xbox users say it’s working for them.

Scapegoating Xbox users is not the solution. There are a few finding some “success” but I have been sidelined for hours, and what I saw when I was in on Series X was not pretty!

I was able to do one circuit around the pattern shortly after it released today. I also exited, restarted, got stuck at 97%. Exited again (killed the task). Now I am stuck at unable to login due to too many login requests. The screen says to wait a few minutes to try again or to cancel, but there is no way given to do anything on the screen. Task manager again.
BTW, it’s time for all of you nice folks in Europe to go to bed!

I did sorta get it to run for a few minutes, but it only loaded half a Cessna for me to fly in. Rest of the plane was missing in action. 
it felt great and looked great what i could see of it. Since that first short flight i haven’t been able to fly again. Will try again tomorrow.

No difference on PC. Menu is a mess and not intuitive. They should have just brought the 2020 menu system over to 2024 with a couple tweaks. Also the graphics options from what i saw for 5 minutes before it crashed, are dumbed down like the Xbox settings. Its an Xbox game that is poorly ported to PC.

I got in once this morning and was able to do a quick test flight. It said I should restart to activate my store content. When I restarted it went though the long process again and stalled at 97%.
Never. Us brits secretly like queueing. This has been the best day off ever so far couldnt possibly go to bed… Lol

Ahem, 2020 on Xbox looks better that what I saw briefly this morning, so it’s not even great on Xbox right now.
Next time I tell my kids “Hey, Christmas will be a few days later, it was just too many people in the queues.”
Facing the truth, this was not an unexpected scenario for Asobo/MS. A lot of possibilities exist how a company like that would provide a solution. Rent distribution servers on AWS until the dust settles, time-shifting over the planet, offering it on DVD (ouch!).

Has anyone for whom it works tried VR?
PC user with XBox app. Been trying all afternoon, alternating between ‘in the queue’ and ‘Server issue detected’. Not once have I actually been in the sim as yet.
That said, I’ve been through far, far too many of these day-one CFs to feel anything like disappointment. Every other developer seems to provision their game servers for average load, not for the giant day-one load spike that everyone knows is coming, because of course they do. Why should Microsoft be any different, just because they are one of the biggest cloud providers on earth?
I’m on Game Pass, so unlike the people who shelled out for the gold-plated boxed editions I’m not out any money. It does annoy me how many watts my GPU is consuming just to render a swirling circle while I wait. Guess I’ll close the app and start over. Again.

yes, Installed and flew a flight successfully.
I did have to cancel and restart when hung at 97% loaded.
1G internet speed here. I Have hope that it will improve. Should have waited a few days to install.
I do agree that this was not ready for release and is on 4080 is a minor improvement in someways the interior planes is worse.
After closing the app , when I attempt to run it a 2nd time, I am in a Login queue .. forever …
Nope.
Spend 5 hours and 45 minutes waiting either on installation , no connection or a “wait in queu” screen followed by … you’re never gonna guess this one …
