Does wake turbulence works for anyone?

Full realism settings, trying to catch wake turbulence behind large traffic aircraft with the TBM and the Cessna 172 (G1000), nothing happens…smooth air.
Besides, can’t see any AI traffic at all when enabled in both G1000 and GNS530, works for anyone?
Still checking things but feels like this is going to join the (long) list of missing/broken functionality…

Not sure this is the appropriate subforum for this question.

But . . . are you talking about MSFS2024? Not sure many people have delved that deep yet.

With 2020, I think you need activesky to get wake turbulence.

yep , I’m referring to MSFS2024 as it was declared as fully functional wake turbulence for all aircraft. If there is a more appropriate sub-forum dedicated for it, then I’ve somehow missed it…
For me the flight model, physics and weather realism are the first core features I’m looking at in a flightsim, and the first thing I’ve checked for every sim update…(with unfortunate too many regressions/omissions…)

I haven’t encountered it yet but I will go to some busy airports and take off to n my Cessna behind a jet, see what happens.

edit: I just did a bit of flying at KLAX and what I was expecting, it isn’t there. It was just another of their empty promises

Thanks for checking, very disappointing indeed. I’m sure that there are known issues or unimplemented ones, and we could accept that , provided that this is clearly communicated and not left for us to discover with disappointment. But sadly the communication is still not clear, especially in this release.

Did a bit more testing with my friend in a 747 and me followingin the CGS Hawk Arrow.

Not the slightest hint at wake turbulence.

Moved to User Support Hub Miscellaneous that is more appropriate for community support.

Your observations indicate an inoperative feature aka a software “bug”. I doubt the community can resolve this issue by ourselves without MS/Asobo intervention, as suggested by the moderator by moving the topic from the bugs forum.

Please report it again with the template and we can vote for it as an issue.

That post was moved from General Discussion Aircraft to Miscellaneous .

There is an existing bug report so no need to create a duplicate one:
