go and buy an internet connection for your users, it’s all very well to want to attract the whole world, you have to assume afterwards :stuck_out_tongue:

I know it probably wouldn’t help anyone but it would sure be nice to hear from the powers above right now. 0.14Mbit/s is not acceptable from a company like Microsoft…

Wonder how much power everyone combined is using for this game right now.

One or two nuclear reactors, I’m sure :joy:

I had the same problem. I got a download speed of 0,1Mbit/s on a 50Mbit/s line. I then downloaded a vpn and connected to UK server and now my speed is 35 - 40Mbit/s, not full speed but a huge improvement.

It must be the fault of my internet connection, I’m having problems with the speed.
:zipper_mouth_face:

Its not just you I’m downloading it now, I would normally download it in about 20 minutes or so too - this is the first time, with this product, that I have had super slow speed - it’s been about 20 minutes only downloaded 2.309 GB!!! I mean 2.39GB

I am in the UK. I have enabled a VPN to a country further east than us (Denmark). Download speeds have gone from 10Mbit to around 90Mbit.

3gb leftz from 130 new install, at least the last 80 or so gb were a couple big files without pausing poop

I just restarted on your advice. I was about 20 GB into a 40 GB file but now I’ve restarted MSFS is now instead downloading a completely different file entitled standard content mandatory update at only 27 GB?

It’s a good thing that I can play FPS games while it’s DL  so it’s slow!

Sometimes I’m just glad I didn’t throw out my old FSX CDs

I have exactly the same problem, while the slowness during xbox launch is perfectly understandable, my download at around 50% done took 6 hours, but during all this time my 3090 ran at 100% utilization, and my power supply LCD was showing around 550 Watts for the installer to just download and unpack. This is a scenario where a simple cli window with download progress and resume support would do its job, but Asobo prefers to bring the full 3D “experience” which uses more GPU power than the SIM itself running in 4K resolution in VR with a Pimax 8KX. Terrible waste of energy! The workaround I found was to make the window as small as it allows, this will completely lower the GPU utilization to 50% of the full screen one. 12 hours of 550 watts to perform a download and unzip is not a good start for something advertised as performance optimized though.

It is nuts, 3090 here too and maxed out 80 degrees. I went into MSI Afterburner and dropped it down to 60 percent power and 70 degrees and its quiet now. Ridiculous that we have to do that though, especially as this is likely to be an overnight download job.

Almost 5 hours to reach 44% here, and now the download keeps getting back around 300MB in count and downloading the same packages again and again, in a loop.
