1.Downloaded all Base Content - 322 items in “ready to install state”
2.Tried to select just one item on the list andf click install
3.System hangs and just get swirling circle

• On SU3, I had no problems downloading and installing INDIVIDUAL sceneries, aircraft etc, one at a time. Everything worked fine, each item would download, then install properly, with no errors, hangs etc.. When I gang-select multiple items, around 150Gb total, they seem to download OK and “Ready to Install” appears against all of them. When I click Install, the spinning circle appears and the system hangs. The problem remains through multiple restarts of the app

When downloading everything works, but when installing Air Traffic Aircraft in SU3, it has spinning ICON when selecting “Install” of the overall category (121 or 130 items)

This explanation could be the reason: SU3 Beta FINALLY able to download default aircraft, airports and scenery! - #29

If you tried processing all items at the same time - I wouldn’t recommend it. I processed them in batches of 4-5.

That happened to me too. The only way out of it for me was Alt+F4. No timeout that I saw, no way to cancel it.

Yep. And it’s absolutely recommended to reboot the entire PC before trying this again. I know, it’s crazy, but Seb did mutter under his breath on one of the last Dev Streams that downloading streamed content was “…dangerous.” I wish someone had called him out on what exactly that meant.

Please try to find this. It sounds very counterintuitive… perhaps context is needed? misheard? (I hope).

Undoubtedly it does need more context. But I think he’s the only one who can shed light on the comment. What exactly is it about downloading versus streaming that makes it so.

I misquoted the wrong person. Found it - it was Martial on the March 2025 Dev Stream Q&A. He characterizes the downloading of assets as “…risky and complicated…” unfortunately without further clarifying why.

Thanks for finding that. Maybe he just meant that, at that time, it was too risky as it might create one of those situations like they’ve had in the past – only curable by complete reinstall.

I tried the method to only install one of the items (after a full reboot) in the Air Traffic Aircraft and it yields the same result of a spinning Icon and no activity rendering the simulator in a locked situation since ESC button and others are non functional in this state

Something seems broken with the Air Traffic Aircraft ability to install aircraft. Maybe another config item needs to be enabled to allow this to happen, not sure

Installing goes without a problem for most files (900+), getting the perpetual spinning icon when installing LIPZ by Bueautiful Model Of the World as well. Same with base content, even when trying to install a few items at at time.

Installing one of these, even in batches, are giving me a freeze which can only be killed by the Task Manager.

Same issue. I can use the rest of the sim just fine, and I can even download and install single items, but batches are no joy. I suspect MS might be throttling back on server power because I’ve gotten warnings about connectivity and I know that’s not from my end.

hi, end task, download all (my internet is 80/90 Mbts and it takes a day), install a few at a time, if again stuck then end task and restart, until it works, I have OneStore 2024, 591 folders 279 GB, OneStore 2020, 182 folders 111 GB, almost everything for now but the message that: “fs24-fs-base-aircraft-common” missing, and I can’t find it? but faster mfs2024 SU3 doesn’t load? make copies of Packages if the internet is weak, keep Packages separately on SSD 4, InstalledPackagesPath “C:\Users*****\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages” if you copy Packages to a separate drive edit (Notepad): “UserCfg.opt” in LocalCache, InstalledPackagesPath at the bottom “(Y/s SSD drive)\Packages” for example: InstalledPackagesPath “E:\Packages”

Stuck installing the base game package on SU3. Everything else has been downloading and installing without issue. Exiting and starting the sim back up does nothing to solve the issue.
