Today I fired up the DA42 and took off from Kiruna and I noticed that the “tree ring” where the sim is drawing trees is tiny again after being improved some time ago. What setting should I have a look at to increase this ring?
Terrain LOD on 250 and trees on ULTRA. These are the only settings that I know of that impacts the draw distance ring. I’m pretty sure the ring used to be so big that you couldn’t see the edge but not anymore. It looks horrible to be honest.
Likewise, been having the same issue, only really started doing this over the past 7 days or so, and I have not changed any of my settings. I have heard about some recent LOD issues, not sure if it is connected. But something does not seem right.

I don’t know the exact coordinates of your screenshot, but here is one from the airport at Kiruna, using the drone to climb to ~2,300m. I’m seeing the same effect - you can see my TLOD & the tree draw distances in the debug window.
I’ve not read about any solution other than to increase the TLOD to 400. Depending on your hardware, that might be OK in rural areas, but obviously will have a much bigger impact to your framerate in complex city & airport surroundings, so you probably will need to drop it back down when planning to fly in those situations.
