Drumming up support for a Hawker Siddeley Hs748... Justflight? Milviz?

For a future sub topic for modders (aircraft requests)

How many here would would love a high fedality HS748??, who would be the preferred developer and how much would you be willing to pay for one?

Justflight
With Justflights recent history with developing continental Europe and the British isles best of historical aviation at the highest quaility and fedality… would be the logical choice

Milviz…
With putting it’s 80-R on hold (hopefully redirecting their resources into the 737-200…
With its wear and tear modeling, focousing on more of the older aircraft… could step up into the next realm, making a turboprop of this level…

PMDG…
An outsider with its dabble on the DC6 and the “ghost” FO that helps with the more complext side of old aircraft engine managment… although it has a lot going on with what everyone wants… 777 and of course… EFB for the 737s

Blackbox…
Amazing job on the islander, trislander and now “only a mother could love…” shorts…all the best of British…

I’m more than willing to pay upwards of 70-80usd for something that would most likely has a smaller market…

Whoelse would love the beautiful and ear deafening HS748

The sound of those darts winding up on the ramp, the smell of the unburnt kerosene….

Yes please!

Yes please. I really miss Rick Piper and Fraser McKay’s 748. I flew it regularly in FS9 and FSX (and even early P3D)
The HS.780 was a great addition to their list too, with the kneeling undercarriage and loading ramp

Yes…had this Rick Piper’s earlier and it was superb. Either the 748 or F27 or YS11 or ATP…A heavy twin turboprop of that era is really overdue - BUT it has to be very good!! The Darts or equiv have to sound right…
To get greater engagement around the world, the F27/F227 may be a better choice, but I’d be happy with any of these.

we’ll have to get a ‘smell’ app next to add in…

We hope that ‘smell’ app doesn’t include a Wet Collie Dog !

I heard my first Darts when I was five (that’s 52 years ago for anyone counting!), and I still remember it like it was yesterday!

There is no equivalent to the sound of a Dart!

Well, unless you consider a hair dryer like the T-37…

Convair 580… wink wink… But yes, dewfinitely! A vintage turbo prop is really desired at a high level.

I think JF mentioned something about giving up & writing custom turboprop code recently - there are a lot of Dart-powered aircraft I’d like to be flyting! including that rather important one with four of them.

The Tyne is not a million miles from a Dart :stuck_out_tongue:

We definitely need more analog passenger jets

For sure I would love to have HS 748. BAC 1-11 being another very interesting aircraft in MSFS. Keep on dreaming…

Oh yes please! The Tyne is a rather special engine. I’ll have a Vanguard any day, but it would need the level of detail from Frasers panels. It really would need custom code though.

VC10 please, complete with INS.:+1: Now Just Flight should easily be able to russell that up… back to the 748…

I think Martyn already said “I’d love to but it’s not commercially viable” for the VC10, so maybe try changing his mind en masse :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m all for the 748 - but the 780 ‘Andover’ military version please, complete with kneeling MLG would be my preference. However, I would reeeeally like the Bristol Brittania.

I’d love a 748, especially if JustFlight did one. They did an excellent one for FSX after all.

I’d love to see other classic British propliners as well though. Think Vickers Viscount, but also De Havilland Dove and Heron.

It’s a shame nobody’s really built stuff like that yet. We used to have decent examples in previous sims.

It was only googling HS748, to see what the cockpits were like, and consistently after posting…that the weird and very creepy google algorithms:ghost::clown_face: gave me links and photos of JF HS748 for fsx…
It would be absolutely fitting for them to do a project such as this

In true JF fashion with the seven or eight types of BAe we got, it wouldn’t be such a bad idea if JF were to do the same with the HS748 as the whole family and throw in the ATP as either a bonus feature or even if its slightly down the line (being slightly more complext) as a xamount €£$ add on…

But definitely…

The F27… being more numbers built… would definitely have a wider grab

I think the 748 actually lasted longer ( are there still a couple in Canada? ). I can’t remember who mentioned a F27 but I’m fairly sure one dev did.

Edit: both hs748 and F-27s still in use - and of course there’s ATPs too. The F-50 is a bit further removed from the F-27 than the ATP is from the 748 I think.

Viscount is the one I want. Iconic - and popular - trailblazer.

I heard at some point that a DHC-4 Caribou is in the works - perhaps a turbo prop conversion or a DHC-5 Buffalo is next in line?

Yeah l, the Dhc 4 is going to be for that NZ WU which I honestly feel is a irrelevant plane for NZ… Could have been a Fletcher FU4, the original version of Orbx PAC 750 or even the PAC/CT 4 which was a fantastic little stunt plane/trainer for the RNZAF…
