It’s always worth remebering that DX12 is still in beta
I switched to DX12 (SU11 beta) due to getting a 4090. When I fly over areas with add-on photogrammetry, I get textures on the ground flickering in and out.
First test of version 2 Beta 11 (1.29.25.0) which mentions: Fix graphical artifacts on cockpit screens when using DX12.
The problem is still there. I don’t criticize, I inform ![]()

Although a lot of people are saying that it is now fixed on their end, I am still getting this on 1.29.25.0 with the Fenix A320. Not sure about PMDG - Haven’t tried it yet.

It takes a lot longer until the issue appears, but it still happens. So, the issue is not fixed in version 1.29.25.0.
It’s clearly not fixed. Several are showing otherwise.
Well, first time after keeping it running, the display (as in my screenshot) repaired itself and is now ok again…
So it might be some caching related issues - as the temporary files have renewed themselves the issue might have been resolved
- I gonna check the build later as I also had this issue on the 737
DX11 no problems, but DX12 is rubbisch. ![]()
All kind of artifacts, stutters, lower fps, etc.
Asobo has still a lot to do with the implementation of DX12.
I have a Nvidia RTX3060ti graphics card and don’t know if the problems with DX12 are related to the combination of Nvidia and MSFS or that this problems are also occur with AMD cards.
Your 3060 Ti does not have enough VRAM to fully function as it should in MSFS DX12. I had a 3080 Ti that never showed artifacts UNTIL my VRAM got exceeded on the GPU and then it went to stutterfest.
Now on my 4090, I have zero issues (thanks to much more VRAM and DLSS3). My point is yes MSFS needs more optimization, but a 3060 Ti just won’t be able to do high-end graphics settings in DX12.
PMDG and Fenix have still those issues, as others already stated, just to add another confirmation.
Therefore i don’t use DX12 and it’s not the amount of VRAM that is causing the problem but the way DX12 handles the available amount of VRAM. There are a lot of games that works fine with DX12, but not MSFS.
Is there any solution to this flickering? Kind of a big deal if you have to use DX12 to fully take advantage of all new S11 settings.

Have you tried to fly over some third party photogrammety cities? (from flightsim.to)
I get black/transparent flickering over those with DX12.
