Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Load DX12 into intensive scenery area potentially with mod planes.

Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version (Learn how to find your current graphics card driver version):

NVIDIA RTX4070 V32.0.15.5612

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

RTX3070, 32GB RAM @3200mhz, Ryzen 7 5800X, FS runs off a 2TB NVMe SSD.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.37.19.0

@Radioactivegoos: FYI, I modified your title and tag to indicate your NVIDIA RTX4070 graphics card.

I think this is the error related to DLSS Frame Generation. Try to turn Frame Gen off and on again to see if it is resolved then. Could happen again after a very short time though as it is no permanent fix.
As they did not manage to fix this problem with the latest Sim Update, I use DX11 without Frane Generation now and instead use the app „Lossless Scaling“ which you can find on Steam and which doubles your fps just like Frame Gen.

Ah I have heard of this, I will first try updating the dlss and dlssg files Ive seen they are quite a few versions old.

From the game developer’s point of view, any interference with the game files affects the gameplay, making it more difficult to identify the cause.

You confirmed that you tested without modifications. I’m wondering why you wrote that because it is clear that you tested with game modifications.

Well it appears to occur when the GPU and CPU are loaded. Testing it without modifications defeats the point because the conditions of the problem arent met if I for example load up in a C150 in stock airfields.

Really makes no sense because who plays the game without DLC anyway. Also it is pretty clear that this issue was introduced with Sim Update 14, it was never an issue before. Always telling people to try without mods is just gaining time not to have to acknowledge the issue.

Apparently, quite a few folks - see this post.

The purpose of asking folks to test without addons is to determine if the issue is caused by the base MSFS program or one or more addons. This is not an either / or determination - the issue could be caused by the MSFS program and / or one or more addons and / or PC hardware configurations. Testing without addons is one step in trying to identify the cause of the issue so that it potentially can be rectified.

Since @Radioactivegoos says

…the conditions of the problem aren’t met if I for example load up in a C150 in stock airfields…

I’d next fly the A320 v2 around KJFK & Manhattan without any addons or AI traffic & see if the stutters persist. If they do, I’d focus on the graphic settings set in MSFS and the configuration settings for the RTX 4070 set in the various NVidia apps. Unfortunately, since I don’t have an NVidia card on my PC, I can’t provide advice on this aspect.

I agree with you and understand that this makes sense for most problems. In this case not, since this issue only appeared after SU14, using the same addons that never caused an issue before. Seems to be related to graphics settings / VRAM / CPU utilization for sure, but again, this was never an issue before.
Therefore I‘d rather have Asobo acknowledge and fix this finally.

See here:

Rolling Cache off?

yep never had that on

That really isn’t the point because it’s not uncommon for third party content to need updating or tweaking after any major sim update. With literally thousands of mods and addons out there it’s up to their devs to keep their products running not Asobo/Microsoft, their only job is to progress the sim.

I think they are very interested in selling addons from other developers on the marketplace to get their share. So they should not always take the easy solution and blame it on addons. I think it is their job to keep the ecosystem running, not only the base sim.

I’m sure they test with some of the major marketplace mods but any regressions then at most all they can do is give a heads up to the devs, legally they can’t fix those mods themselves. Also nowhere in real life does the tail wag the dog
