I’ve had the same issue with the chequerboard grass but haven’t had time to look into it. I have the UK World Update installed so it’s not that.
If you’re having issues with grass make sure you have the KFFA airport from the 40th anniversary update.

I too wondered this (because the release date is given as today) but haven’t had chance to properly investigate. Since MP products are only released on Mon/Thu — and v2 wasn’t mentioned in the official 18th July update post — I’m assuming it’s still v1. Is there no version history?
It definitely is version 1 because if you click on the ‘version history’ tab its only got an update from a year or more ago.
I just bought version 2 from the Contrail website. If you grab a discount code you can get it for about £8, which its definitely worth if you’ve got V1. I wouldn’t pay more than that though if you’ve already got V1, so get it cheap whilst you can.
Its a definite improvement over V1 if only because it removes the trees that were on the edge of the taxi way just outside the main terminal building. They certainly aren’t there in real life. It also removes that static Qatar Airlines A380 that V1 has sitting on the ramp.
Its an incredible bit of scenery for sure. One thing it needs though is proper ambient airport audio for the inside of the terminal. The NZA Simulations Christchurch scenery has that and it makes it so much more immersive.
When FS2024 comes out and we can properly wander around with our pilot avatar all this sort of extra internal and external detailing is going to come into its own I think.
Speaking of Christchurch airport. I’m pretty certain thats where I last saw this bickering couple. They don’t appear to be any happier having got to Edinburgh. Jet lag I guess, or perhaps a big IT outage is delaying their onward flight.

So as suspected - he used one of the grass materials that came with a WU and not the base material library. (Which is fine but you do need to note the dependency in the product description)

There is no doubt that THIS is the new king of all airports. And we can be grateful to Pyreegue because he is constantly setting new standards for others to measure themselves against. As with East Midlands or Belfast, it is a mystery to me why Pyreegue’s airports run so smoothly despite their incredible level of detail. Other developers try to increase performance by reducing the number of cars, moving people or by lowering the resolution of textures. Pyreegue does none of this. The number of cars in the parking lots is incredible and take a look at the departure monitors, for example. They are razor sharp, just like the building textures. Somehow he finds other ways to optimize performance. And I haven’t even mentioned the countless animations and the photorealistic look of the airport. He really is a magician/artist.

The GSX Profile seems broken though. None of the walk ins seems to work. I get that awful Bus all the time.
It must be good use of LODs. It’s a lot of work creating each LOD and I guess some Devs use fewer. And well optimised textures. Not everything needs to be a full 4K pbr.
I haven’t had time to try out many of the jetways yet, but at gate 9 in the FBW A320 the jetway wasn’t working. Anyone found any other jetways inop?
I brought this off orbix… I know they dont supply their products anymore and fair enough…but surely there should be some sort of agreement to allow information to be passed through to current customers…

It’s essentially discounted for all at the moment - go to the Contrail store and purchase there.
I have flown at least 6 flights now with the Fenix. Fantastic Airport. The gsx issue was my own fault (had the old one there). I have not been there physically for at least 10 years but I still recognize parts.
If you want to have both EGPH versions in Contrail, you can transfer your V1 license from ORBX to Contrail. It’s very simple and took just minutes for me:
