ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: EFB ist unclickable in free flight menu + SIM freezes when changing weights in EFB after loading the flight inside the plane. I’m using the Controller.

C172 Skyhawk (G1000), probably others too.

Samething here. Series x. Career mode on 737 max. Efb not responsive.

• yes just need to try change weights or fuel with efb once loaded into a flight on Xbox

• load flight in, open efb tab, change weights or fuel, screen freeze restart game to fix

Your definitely on to something here I came to report the same thing also with some aircraft I can’t see all the weights correctly just a blob of circles that have tiny gaps between

Efb is still broken, can’t do anything with it. I’ve tried all the airbuses and Boeings

It’s still broken for me as well on Xbox Series X. I have the latest SU2 update but I have found a workaround for the issue.

If I open the EFB and then open controller settings at the same time, then I can start interacting with the EFB. If I close the controller settings then the EFB interactivity goes away again.

I’m using an Xbox controller only and not a mouse and/or keyboard. From a bit of searching on this topic it seems that EFB still works fine for Xbox Series X players that use a mouse for the EFB.

Ok so I’m a mouse and keyboard user on Xbox

Went to use the c17 got it all set then turned to the EFB and went does this control the ramp found ramp controls clicked and nothing

So Im thinking that some of the plane efbs could be problematic too, I normally use the pop out screen not the tablet in plane

Bumping this as it’s still not resolved in 1.4.16.0 and has yet to be logged. The title doesn’t indicate the severity of the issue as well. The true issue is that any time the EFB is not modeled in the virtual cockpit (which is the case in the Free Flight menu but also with most planes at this point) the Xbox controller is unusable to click anywhere on the EFB.

I would hope that SU2 will not go live and instantly break the EFB for the many Xbox users who do not (always) use a mouse to interact with the sim.

We are able to reproduce this issue in the current retail build.
For the Beta, if anyone is able to provide a short clip of what they are seeing, we will forward it to the test team.

A bit confused as this bug was introduced with SU2 and, as far as I’ve tested, does not exist in the retail build 1.3.23.0 - was this a typo or is this just being extra inconsistent?

Not a typo - one of our testers is able to reproduce the issue in SU1 but not in the latest beta build, so it looks like there are some inconsistencies! We are hoping to see a short clip of it and clearer repro steps so they can delve into this further.

It’s a bit tough to record something not doing something, but you’ll have to take my word for it - the entire time the cursor is moving over the EFB, I am attempting to “click in” to it by pressing A. It works on the toolbar and other toolbar windows like ATC or Weather, but is completely non-responsive on the EFB.

I can get a screen recording of it working correctly on SU1 if that’s helpful, but this has been its behavior for the majority (if not all) of SU2 beta.

If I make a video and put it on my Xbox account as a public uploaded one can you guys access it that way

You won’t see or hear any clicks but probably a fustrated mouse wiggle :sweat_smile:

I have the same issue both in the series S and even when i switched to the X. Also ive noticed that the toggle “mouse” from the controller joystick is now inaccurate when ever you try to home into a button in the cockpit it will highlight something else, and its also affecting the ATC interactions among other things.

I definitely agree. In SU2, you can not click anything with a controller on the EFB at all. A mouse is required to click things. Now, I noticed if the EFB is set up in a plane, you can click with a controller. But when you pop out the EFB on the screen, it doesn’t work at all.
