Anyone know if there is anyone out here doing a updated egnt ( Newcastle international ) for series x ? Seems even tiny airports are getting done over our local at the moment

I would like to think that a developer would enhance EGNT as it is my UK base airport
I hope so too for someone who’s worked there for many years it’s frustrating when you know it could be much much better like pc have
Flying from Heathrow to EGNT and choosing ILS is pretty daft. Especially as I live on the flight path. The ILS procedure takes you to the airport and then out to Tynemouth with the the NEO A320 especially. RNAV is correct however
But the airport should get an update soon I am told
Presume you’re aware of the payware one from Orbx? Or does it not work on Xbox
Not available on the poor relations system, namely the Xbox
Yeah I live right on the coast as they turn onto the finals. Kind of forget there flying over as I’m so used to them
Doesn’t help I worked there for 11 years. Always a privilege signing off something like the big bird how someone trusts me to be in charge or a machine like that is beyond me

I wish they would - not sure who but someone develop this - it’s amazing just how many pilots use this as their base

When you look at the current airports in the sim and even some of the ones that probably have not ‘deserved’ an upgrade have - I refer you to Carlisle!
Does make you think when pc has one. Not like it’s a big airport to do either

I spoke to Orbx about their outstanding UK airports — all of which were modelled way before MSFS released on Xbox — and the plan is to release them when they require updating to v2. This is pretty common practice as it involves completing two tasks in one fell swoop.

I live local and I have had the EGNT Orbx version for a few years now. I agree with ToonSoldier91 about finals, all approaches seem only from the south, over the top of the runway then your sent to the coast on a jolly. I have one gripe with the Orbx Airport and it’s Gate 3
The Baggage conveyor keeps bouncing around because the bay is full of trolleys
But I only seem to be directed to Gate 10 these days so it’s not a problem really.

Swissport must be parking the belt loader. It is gutting when you’ve worked there for 13 years ish and can’t get it on Xbox. Maybe a sign to buy a pc. We’ve had quite a few days of 07 past few weeks. Makes a change
