Does anybody use the Elgato Stream Deck + on PC and #fs2024? It looks very handy to me
I use the app on tablet, a lot cheaper
I use the Stream Deck XL. It makes flying a whole lot more pleasant with its ability to store a lot of commands. There are also some very good free profiles on flightsim.to.
I also use it with axis and ohs which was an additional purchase on JustFlight. The best profiles on flightsim.to require that.
Yeah, but stream deck has real buttons and knobs, it feels more real and you can use it also for hundreds other apps and work flow. I also have a couple of ipad…what are the apps you use?
Could you write more details here or in private on
- Mods (free and paid)
- Configurations suggestions?
Thanks
I only use it for flight sim, mainly for Fenix
I use one with Spad.Next. I would not be without it.
On Flightsim.to look up the stream deck profiles by Guenseli. One I especially use is his Avionics Suite that includes everything for the G1000. This all requires Axis and Ohs to work Just Flight - AxisAndOhs v4
You’ll also want to get the free stream deck flight tracker on github ( GitHub - nguyenquyhy/Flight-Tracker-StreamDeck: A Stream Deck plugin to interact with Microsoft Flight Simulation With this its very easy to program commands from the flight sim.
More complex stuff you can program with Axis and Ohs.
Stuff I programmed myself that I use a lot lately are reset and lock buttions for my Tobii, a button to turn on and off the visual assist, six buttons to move my seat position; L/R, up/down, fwd/back, and a set of buttons to control the game ATC.
Looks like I need a bit of study hours
Good stuff for sure. The Guenseli profiles with the Streamdeck XL/+ is top notch. They are totally free but as already mentioned need Axis and Ohs to function. That app is inexpensive and has tons of useful features – including a good alternative to the 2024 bindings interface.
My Streamdecks are easily one of my best FS purchases. Very happy with them.
I use the standard 15, the XL32 and the SD Plus, all through Axis and Ohs. All brilliant and with the Plus, those knobs are tremendous. I use the Plus almost exclusively for autopilot functions.
Totally agree, I use the avionics suite (SD+) It’s perfect for all garmin, and autopilot worked for every planes I tried
I also have a standard 15 and there is no premade freeware build available yet for MSFS 2024
I have and I love it. Using AxisAndOhs with (mostly) Standard Avionics found on flightsim.to.
I love my Streamdeck Plus with Guenseli profiles and Axis and Ohs. Works great for Autopilots for big and small planes!
Also you can get professional panels for the Streamdeck at Flightpanels.io
I have spent a fortune on Flight Panels. Well worth it!!!
I’ve been using the G1000/Generic Profile for StreamDeck+ found on flightsim.to, written by TorontoWill:
https://flightsim.to/file/86661/g1000-generic-profile-for-pilotsdeck-and-streamdeck
Works great on the Cessna 172 and other planes.
I use both the XL and the SD+ and I love both of them a lot. SD+ is better for autopilot functions and also NAV/COM radios, and also setting QNH. XL for all the rest: start, lights, ice, etc.
I use normally the excellent profiles by Guenseli and AxisAndOhs, but also some other creators. Specially recommended are the Fenix and FBW profiles and the profiles for the Blacksquare aircraft that I love so much. I have not tested the boeings but I’m sure they also work fine.
There are still few profiles for 2024. Some creators are waiting for 2024 to “stabilize”. I’m using an old profile for the Cirrus Vision G2 that was originally created for the FlightFX version, but most of its functionality works fine with the 2024 version.
Profiles in Flightsim.to are free (but a coffee is always welcome) but if you want to pay to may use the FlightPanels profiles, that use a different technology. They’re also very good, I did use the ATR profile for some time and it worked very fine.
I love the four knobs and the fact that I can put information up on the display. The SD+ has been a game changer. It works in 2024 but I am not flying 2024 anymore until at least SU1.
