“We are excited to announce our partnership with Embraer, a global leader in the aerospace industry,” said Microsoft Flight Simulator lead Jorg Neumann. Our goal for the collaboration is to bring many of Embraer’s aircraft models to the simulator. Jorg Neumann, Microsoft Flight Simulator lead
“Embraer’s state-of-the-art fleet and focus on innovation make it the perfect partner for Microsoft Flight Simulator , and our goal for the collaboration is to bring many of Embraer’s aircraft models to the simulator as part of our ‘Expert Series.’ We are excited to announce that we are beginning this collaboration with the widely popular Embraer Praetor 600, which will debut in the simulator later this year.”
Fantastic-making good use of the Embraer agreement, I see!
Bet there’ll be an Embraer E-Jet E2 family Expert Series down the line instead of the so-so-so Virtualcol “This product is available only in the Marketplace; this product is not study level aircaft, just for game and fun, recommended for beginners and flight simmers.” efforts.
I’d be impressed if one of the other Embraer aircraft to come out of the partnership is a study-level E-Jet E2 series Expert series maybe by ini seeing as we have E-Jet//E-Jet E2 AI traffic in-sim and the first-gen E170/175/190/195 already covered by Flight Sim Studio.
Also, a sign we won’t see Carenado bring their Falcon 50 to MSFS 2024-unlike Embraer which has an agreement with Microsoft, there’s no similar agreement with Dassault Aviation-picky when it comes to licensing but FSW still bringing their sans any sort of licensing.
4,018 nm (7,441 km; 4,624 mi) range-nice enough for me!
As Carenado never created a Praetor before I don’t think the model is made by them - normally their releases for the current FS generation were refreshs of what they already sold on P3D/FSX/XP.
Personally I hope it’s going to be a FFX/WT aircraft - they are doing a great job on bizjets
FlightFX would be incredible! I wouldn’t complain about ini tackling an Embraer either. Not that experienced with Carenado planes, maybe a bizjet is a bit outside their wheelhouse? Their PC24 seems to have teething issues…
Just keep aeroplane heaven out of this and I’ll probably be happy!
I love everything about this except “coming late 2025” I wish companies would be like hey this is what we’ve been working on for a year it’ll be released at the end of the month… Why make me wait 3/4 of a year
Usually to “plant the flag” and warn other devs about embarking on the same product.
Bluebirds did that with the 757, they announced it when they probably had nothing just to be safe in case some other dev was planning a 757.
