Enhanced Live Traffic 3.03 Update released

Yes in the air its like a different product. I think this has to be a sim issue though because the data source sample rate for the AI in the air or on the ground is the same. So if the sim can draw AI in the air smoothly, it should be able to do the same with ground traffic

Yes should be possible. But the function doe’s not work as described. And it’s a known problem in the developer community. But Asobo and MS has other priorities. in the next weeks I’m a little busy, but for later I have probably an Idea how this problem will be fixable with a workaround. If it will work I have to check. Now I’m concentrating on my real PPL and real flying :wink:

I cannot for the life of me get two different airlines pointed at their respective liveries for the same model.

It depends if you have installed the correct liveries for the airlines. E.g. If you have installed for the A320 the livery for “Air Lingus” and also for “Eurowings” then it should find the correct livery for the airline. Normally the livery for the airline will be found automatically because it is set in the aircraft.cfg file of the livery.

e.g. from the AIG liveries for the A320

[fltsim.0]
title=AIGAIM_Aer Lingus Airbus A320-200
model=EIN-Aer Lingus

or
[fltsim.88]
title=AIGAIM_Eurowings Airbus A320-200
model=EWG-Eurowings

The new Version 3.02 is online! https://de.flightsim.to/file/17289/enhanced-live-traffic

Look forward to trying this out.

Has anyone figured out how to get modelmatching working with the various PMDG 737 Liveries?

EDIT: Got it working with this for the most part:

“Boeing 737-79P”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-8H4”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-7H4”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-823”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-832”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737 MAX 8”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737 MAX 9”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-890”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-990”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-990(ER)”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-36N(ER)”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-924(ER)”: “PMDG 737-700”,
“Boeing 737-932”: “PMDG 737-700”,

I also tested it recently, the FPS dropped massively. I don’t understand why others don’t have it.

The apps a bit intermittent. I tried it at EGLL, not a single plane loaded into the sim. At LIPY I had one or two in the air at least but nothing over one of the worlds busiest airports even after re-starting the app? Something wasn’t right. A lot of errors listed too, unrecognised IDs.

Altered the json to 120 planes, rebooted the sim then the app and it worked.

Every so often I see the odd plane taxiing smoothly on the ground by the way. It looks great when they do this.

Its a pity excluding ground traffic also affects aircraft landing and taking off. If possible I was hoping it would only exclude parked and taxiing aircraft until the taxiing bug can be sorted out or worked around.

No issue with frame rates collapsing on my sim even at EGLL, runs reasonably well.

My comment was related to people who are using the PMDG 737 for AI aircraft.

Well that explains it. Not sure why anybody would do that when AIG offer models specifically designed for AI including 737’s.

Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines is in the AIG line-up with liveries and model for the 737-700

If a balloon can be seen on flightradar24, it will be displayed in MSFS as A320 airliner. Is there already a possibility (livery?) that a balloon is also displayed as a balloon…? :wink: Thanks!

You have to set the Type in the ModelMatchin.json file to the correct livery!

I dont understand what yo mean. But i think, i need a balloon model in my community folder…?

That’s correct

But apparently there is still no balloon for the MSFS, which could then be displayed with ELT 3.0, right? :wink: Thanks again, for this nice addon…!
