A review that acknowledges the potential and successes… whilst also summarizing the current sim state…
A fair and balanced review called PATHETIC? Yeah ok.
He should have put the disclaimer at the end - ‘Your experience may differ’. Mine certainly does.
You posted 9 minutes after I did so I’m guessing you didn’t actually watch the 18 minute video. Had you done, you’d have listened to all the positive things he did actually say.
Then why did he give it such a tabloid title? I’m guessing his agenda was the same as yours in posting it here.
Oh, and the video was actually posted yesterday.
Excellent, accurate review. Correctly titled.
Yes i watched the whole video.
He posted it yesterday, I just posted it here 17 minutes ago. I have no agenda whatsoever - I just thought it was a rather funny review that called out the good and the bad.
I also prefer to watch things before criticizing them…rather than judging a book by its cover.
Yes and I saw it when it was posted. Yesterday. It took longer than I thought it would to show up here, but it was inevitable that it would.
At least he chose a subtle thumbnail.
Now where have I heard all this before? Seems he combed this forum for chili quotes, added beans and a few stale spices, and entered it into a local contest. He makes some good points, but there’s nothing original or particularly funny here. He manages to disrespect you, me, Microsoft, Asobo, and the wide range of users who are both excited for, and yes, frustrated with, different aspects of this new release.
“I ain’t no airline captain, but I’m not some geezer trying to take off in a jumbo jet with an Xbox controller either.”
“Basically, my desk looks like someone who never lost his virginity.”
“Let’s tackle the big question: Was Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 even needed, so soon after Flight Simulator 2020?”
“The best way I can explain it is eatin’ your Mum’s homemade Sunday roast, only to find a piece of it laced with her used razor blade. Because at every turn you’re reminded that this is a greedy developer with one hand in your pocket whilst the other pulls your pants down to shaft you further.”
“It makes the Cyberpunk launch look decidely grand.”
I give it a solid “Meh…”
(And before you tell me I’m just a dumb American who can’t appreciate the British sense of humor…I’m a life-long fan of Monty Python. This guy’s more Benny Hill than John Cleese.)
