Even with my other controllers disabled i still have to wait every single time i click in the controller options. Sometime it needs switching back and forward to get it recognized.
To be clear. this started the day i installed SU2. All the SU2 beta’s and SU1 version this bug was not there

Exactly, when I did it 2024 hung at 54% - I re-installed the sim and guess what the profiles updated quickly and then slowly they slowed down again. So clearing the cloud DOES NOT WORK at least for some. Looks like SU3 has it fixed and you can be sure that ■■■-obo knew it was an issue but figured for the number suffering this they can just wait for su3.

This seems entirely fixed (for me) in SU3 beta build 1.5.7.0 - response in the controls menu is the snappiest its been in MSFS 2024 since launch.

Temped to switch to beta but not sure what to get more. I mean i exited the su2 beta before it ended due some other stuppid bugs that occurs in beta
The only regression that’s still around that bothers me is the keybind to enter drone camera sends you to lat/long 0.0000/0.0000. There may be others but at this point I can’t remember what’s a SU2 bug and what’s a SU3 bug 
It’s generally performing really well and stable, for me at least - but I still wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re comfortable with “the beta” experience and are willing to be an active participant in bug reporting.

I’m very surprised that they haven’t addressed this yet. Surely something this problematic warrants a hotfix, rather than having to wait for SU3?

I can also confirm that this is fixed in SU3 beta 1.5.7.0. Such a relief - and I’m staying in the beta until the full update. My career will have to wait.

Fixed for me in the latest beta.
I’ll take this opportunity to mention that one needed feature would be the ability to pick a saved control from a list, instead of having to cycle through them one by one in sequence. Even with this issue fixed, it still takes longer than it should, since I have a long list of saved control profiles per hardware device.

For me the slow response is found when changing a control / device / preset e.g. from ‘Keyboard 2-24 Tranversa[l]’ (strictly the word is truncated on the screen) to any other preset. It doesnt matter which device or preset I’m amending - It takes 7 elephants for the next preset to appear. Thereafter response times are ok. Nothing in my community folder, SU2, + Vhigh spec PC env.
As many selected presets are not being saved across sessions, it does become a pain to start a session

• Just as described by the OP. Any attempt at changing a profile leads to a spinning for about 15s. Sometimes it doesn’t seem to get out of that state.
For me this is fixed in Sim Update 3 Beta. Fingers crossed it comes out for everyone asap.

I’m experiencing an issue related to the controls:
The devices in the controls menu load fast for me, however after returning to flight, the performance is degraded and remains the same throughout the session. If repeated multiple times, this goes from 90 FPS initially, down to approx. 35 FPS.
I’ve reported the issue at Bad performance after accessing controls settings. If anyone experiences the same, I appreciate commenting in that thread.
One thing I noted, I can tap on the arrow 3 times and it will step to that 3rd preset from where I was, after the 10 second spin. For what it’s worth

• Any initiated changes in the Device List causes wait times to be anywhere from 1-3 minutes. I have minimal devices, great specs and game itself runs fine. Just wait times in Devices List
I know this bug is reported cannot find to add to it. I got new controllers and found that making adjustments to them is too slow the joystick mapper seems to be broken. I have to wait 30 seconds plus for each click. Is there a way to reset all joysticks mapper to fresh start?
I would send a video but too big and I do not have a Cloud account. Its just impossible to work with and because I have new controllers I can no longer fly until I can set them up. This really needs to be fixed.. Circles circling for 30 seconds then click and wait another 30 seconds, after clicking to finally get one adjustment done takes about 5 minutes. TOO AGGRIVATING.
