Exit to main menu results in broken UI

  1. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

  2. Description of the issue: when exiting back to the main menu, sometimes the UI will not be loaded properly leading to the user being unable to interact with the sim.

I too have this, you are left with the last onscreen image from the flight and cannot see the world map. Also, i noticed it breaking while in flight, if you hit escape, the image is frozen and you hear the ‘whoosh’, where it used to be a zoomed out view of your plane. There, i can interact with the settings etc and hitting escape again at least lets me still fly. But exiting to main retains the last image. I need to restart the game to do anything, but now im back in the login queue :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Wow, is there really so few having this issue? Probably wont get fixed anytime soon then. I put in a bug report on zendesk for it- #230444

When i hit escape, it doesnt zoom out. Not too much an issue, everything is accessible in these menus

click free flight and i’m on the ground not high above earth

sometimes it shows me a bunch of airports on the horizon

and i think this same bug is preventing me from doing any character walkaround stuff. i remain in cockpit while my character appears outside. WASD keys dont move around.

I believed i have solved this issue!

My X52 joystick has a 3-position knob that i use for camera- cockpit, drone, external. So 1 of the positions is always ON.

In the settings, i had to turn off ‘Input Repetition’ on all 3 camera settings

I only noticed this because i happened to unplug the joystick, and hit escape and the view wooshed out! and i can control my character too.
