I’m willing to bet that CDN is responsible for many (although certainly not all) of our slow download experiences with MSFS. Asobo should really add metrics and reporting on this is they haven’t already, as it needs to be addressed from their end.

Same here. Very slow download speeds for world update packages on XSX. most of the time only 3 Mbit.
I’ve had better download speeds today (still not great, around 70 Mbit). Remember to not cancel the download even if you switch off your Xbox. The download will continue the next time you launch MSFS.
Point your VPN between regions.
So, change between Europe or EEUU. That is what solved mayority of issues

Unfortunately, this is not always true, that is unless multiple endpoints are hammered.
I have tried changing VPN endpoints and - sometimes - the speed will increase dramatically and then slowly drop to the original slow speed.
Other times the speed is fine.
Other times changing endpoints works.
Like I said before, it appears to depend on the time of day, phases of the moon, the position of various constellations, your date of birth, and your choice of hair color.
if i had known that problem prior I formatted the pc, I would have copied my official folder. It took two days to download the world updates and still there 4 to go.
Download speed generally goes down to 2mbit and stays there for very long and than it speeds up to 100mbit for a few seconds and goes back to 2 mbit again

What can I say.. Same situation here. New gaming PC, fresh windows and drivers, 600Mbps fiber and the download speed ranges from 2-5Mbps, this is ridiculus. Over night I downloaded 12GB. I tried every solution there: VPN, DNS, some windows settings - nothing is working. It will took me a week to download a game.
One last file to download out of 508.
34.36GB file and it’s downloading at 2.65Mbit/s.
That will be 9.5hrs…
I’m on a 920mbit connection. What can I do to fix this BUG?

Is the UK limited on speed? I can see some ‘fixes’ on youtube where users switch on a vpn and get much better speeds. dissapointing if true
For this purpose I can recommend Proton VPN. They have a free service that offers the US, Netherlands, and Japan, as terminators for the VPN. I have had some luck with Japan in the past.
I have already tried Proton VPN. As always - no results.
No results as in no improvements? I have seen that also, to be fair.
VPN does not help. I’ve also tried to no avail. - Asobo has to fix it at their end.

Yes, the max speed I get is 5Mbps
Can confirm a VPN had no effect.
Now waiting on answers from Asobo.
2.3mb/s is unacceptable when there are 55GB of data to update.
