Not that i care too much about it,but…knowing that money factor is strong and always above anything else,i think that somewhere inside the decade,and when the sim will be more stabiized,they will give us somekind of a combat expansion

Hi, couple of things am having trouble with. How do you move the heading bug ? Looked in the manual and around the cockpit but havnt figured it out. Also to hide the stick the manual says click on the annunciator panel but this doesnt work. I am using the F16C.

It’s most definitely collimated and works great. Additionally, the velocity vector indicator is dead-on.
I rather hope that’s what the “Top Gun” DLC was intended to be, or least be a stepping stone toward. Make it a separate mode like Reno, whatever, but you know people will go nuts for dog-fighting, even if it’s truly simulated (as in the actual Top Gun/Red Flag schools conduced by USN/USAF instructors) without weapons releases or gunfire - get a target lock or keep them in your target site long enough for a cannon “kill.”

According to the manual, collimation isn’t possible currently, but they plan to implement it when MSFS is capable of it.
That part of the manual I am afraid was made before SU7 and we have left to rectify it. With SU7 the collimation is practically automatic.
Check at about 1:08 in my landing video from last night - you can see when I raised up my camera view for a moment that the collimation is present and working.
I’m starting to notice that. It will be a while before I’m that good, but I’ll have a ton of fun flying it on the way.
Ah, understood. I haven’t actually flown it yet, just read the manual. I guess that’s the opposite of most people, hehe.
@PtrVsVLDNL A lot of questions there! In brief, CFT fuselage fuel tanks can be removed by setting CENTER 2 tanks to 0 in the payload manager. The fuel tank system was altered by Asobo in SU7 and we have not yet had the time to master the new set-up. Once done, the tanks will no longer appear at start-up.
HUD is collimated, the manual is indeed out of date ( already ) - I think it was a line I must have forgotten to remove.
The model has ambient occlusion throughout as part of the PBR - not sure why you’re not seeing it, but it is also an option in the sim so maybe you have it turned off?
The autopilot is very detailed, more so than I would have really wanted for an aircraft that in real life only has a very simple autopilot. To that end, CodenameJack447 knows more about it than I do as he implemented it all.
Targeting pod on the C not showing noted, will check that out and fix for the first update.
The “blob” is a mystery, I have never seen it on my PC and no other reports of it either, very strange that one.
Another instant buy. I don’t have enough time for all these wonderful aircraft! Whatever you do don’t release a Panavia Tornado else I’ll have no time to play with the kids (nudge nudge wink wink)
