You’ve got an instant sale here. As those who are on my friends list in-sim can vouch for, I spend a ton of time in your planes(in the 15E now on the way to Montreal). I love 'em all. I can’t wait. Keep up the great work!

After all that shopping. And now that I finally have my F-16. I asked myself if I would ever need a new plane.
Then I asked myself which plane I would be willing to spend more money on.

The answer was “Harrier” or “Sea Vixen”.

And now?
Voila, here comes the Harrier.

Do we have a release date for the f16 on marketplace?

Nope, although Microsoft featured it on their recent update in an image so it might not be far away now.

Would today seem like a release day?

The release day will have a “Y” in it, that’s about all I can say.

I just bought the F16. Unfortunately, regardless of the plane I select I always end up with an I model. E.g. I select the F16C Thunderbirds and I end up with an F16I with the Thunderbirds livery. Any ideas?

Yes, according to the developer of this mod, those are “conformal fueltanks”. Just go to the fuel options and change “left aux” and “right aux” to zero ( 0 ) and those “bulbs” goes away!

Succes and good flight!

You are showing the fuel tanks wich can be set to OFF when you set to zero the Center 2 on payload
This is the C model.
The I is 2 seated
Only Center 2 is needed to go to zero @Dutch1957

Thanks a lot @Dutch1957 and @SAKISAPPOLON, that “fixed” it! I just hope I didn’t miss anything obvious about that in the manual

It’s always well worth reading the manual for my airplanes. Although not study level, they do have lots of things going on ( special functions etc ).

The tanks appearing is due to Asobo creating an entirely new fuel tank system and not thinking about visibility conditions for the older system, so the conformal tanks appear at the start of every flight. Once I get time, will update the F-16s to match the new fuel tank system, so that flights start without the CFTs as per most normal operations.

On a side note. the F16 gets best developer award for The clearest HUD in VR. Wish the F15, and 14s HUD looked this good.

Even Asobo ruined their HUD in the 787, along with the dismal HUDs in the Aerosoft CRJ, and the worst award goes to the 737 Max.
Wish developers would buy a 399.99 dollar HP headset and look at their creations more for us VR users.

Dean…Man…What did you create? This is by far the best aeroplane in the sim !
It’s simply a MASTERPIECE !!!
I can’t have enough of it,and to think that i have the whole globe in my pc :ok_hand:

I love and appreciate manuals included with add-ons and I do read them but in this case I was too stupid to link the sentence “One additional feature common to many variants are conformal fuel tanks mounted upon the upper fuselage flanks” to what I was seeing :face_with_hand_over_mouth:. I actually thought it was a different model, that’s how I confused C with I models. Reading that sentence again now … well, it’s obvious, isn’t it? :innocent:

The I model also has a “spine” fairing that contains IAF-specific electronic warfare equipment, so beside the conformal fuel tanks, that’s another way to distinguish them.

That said … if Scott and Dean decide to expand the model range for funsies, the F-16XL would be a blast …
