Thanks Jack, more good stuff to learn and use. Looking forward to next update to see how it all may come together with possible changes.
I have no visual effects like a vapor cone for supersonic flight on Xbox. The vapor on the wings during high G works fine.
Anyone else with this problem?
Yes, Iāve heard a few people say that. The effect and code is all there though, seems like something to do with the conversion to console by Microsoft that breaks the effect - beyond our control Iām afraid, but I will notify them about it.
I flew the F-16 from Misawa to Kadena this morning. Fun to fly!
Why does my plane look like this? In the Aircraft Selection screen, I have 3 options. F16C, F16D, and F16I. I pick F16C and the Thunderbird Livery. Iāve restarted the game and same thing. I picked the F16D and the top āpodsā go away, but the 3 external fuel tanks are still there. Then I tried the F16I and it has the same thing with an additional pod on top, which matches the thumb nail in the Aircraft Selection screen.
So how to I get the F16C Thunderbird to look like every one else pics?
@Bat24SS If I am understanding your issue correctly, you wish to make your jet ācleanā without the external fuel tanks and body conformal tanks.
Try this below.
Center 2 - 0%
External 1 & 2 - 0%

Cool, thanks. That sounds about right, Iāll try that now.
Yes!!! That worked. Thank you so much for the help and quick reply. Happy Flying!
I posted a few weeks ago to ask about the flight model and got a positive response, Iāve since purchased the aircraft and had an enormous amount of fun with it. Itās nice to have a good modern fighter, complements really well the F-14 as they are quite a different experience, and the F-35 is not out on xbox yet, so Iād still be here waitingā¦
Canāt wait for Concorde (which is going to be an immediate purchase from me) and eventually the Harrier.
The only thing I donāt love is the lack of a detent for the afterburner like the F/A-18 but itās a small complaint
Any news on this issue?
No, sorry, as I said itās an issue with the Xbox, over which developers have no control.
Hi F-16 fans,
Iād like to make liveries in blender for the F-16, but I canāt find the .gltf file in the MODEL directory like for any other plane. Except the model.cfg, thereās no other file in there.
Anyone knows how to get to it?
You donāt need the model file to make liveries ( itās probably archived anyway if this is a Marketplace purchase ). The UV maps are made as simple as possible so it should be okay to get most of the way by reference to existing livery maps.
Indeed is a purchase and archived. Iām not a pro in this, but I get your point.
I already made liveries with the UV maps on gimp, but hoped to make it easier with blender. Too badā¦
Thank you
I noticed the Aggressor livery has mismatched CFT pods (Desert camo) I passed it onto SC Design and they will correct on next update.
One thing Iāve noticed is the aircraft seems to hate entering clouds, as in it tanks the FPSā¦
Flying around clouds is fine, the performance hit only occurs when entering them.
Even if itās a clear day with a few small clouds about, flying though one still causes the same judder as it would if it were a sky full of cumulus clouds, so it doesnāt appear to be a hardware limitation.
Iām wondering if it has something to do with the cockpit tint? As the external camera is fine.
I own this plane too, i fly in VR and i have a question:
Is it normal that my performance is down by 12.5fps compared to the DCD F-15 Flying the same route?
Is the F-16 so much more power hungry for the system?
DCD F-15 - 40.5fps
SC F-16 - 28fps
Ryzen 5950x
Amd 6900xt
64gb ddr4 3600
HP reverb g2
Not sure but I suspect itās the FLIR screen as the F-16 is the only one that has it and all screens are a resource-hog.
