Cool, thanks. That sounds about right, I’ll try that now.

I posted a few weeks ago to ask about the flight model and got a positive response, I’ve since purchased the aircraft and had an enormous amount of fun with it. It’s nice to have a good modern fighter, complements really well the F-14 as they are quite a different experience, and the F-35 is not out on xbox yet, so I’d still be here waiting…

Can’t wait for Concorde (which is going to be an immediate purchase from me) and eventually the Harrier.

The only thing I don’t love is the lack of a detent for the afterburner like the F/A-18 but it’s a small complaint

Any news on this issue?

No, sorry, as I said it’s an issue with the Xbox, over which developers have no control.

Hi F-16 fans,

I’d like to make liveries in blender for the F-16, but I can’t find the .gltf file in the MODEL directory like for any other plane. Except the model.cfg, there’s no other file in there.

Anyone knows how to get to it?

You don’t need the model file to make liveries ( it’s probably archived anyway if this is a Marketplace purchase ). The UV maps are made as simple as possible so it should be okay to get most of the way by reference to existing livery maps.

Indeed is a purchase and archived. I’m not a pro in this, but I get your point.

I already made liveries with the UV maps on gimp, but hoped to make it easier with blender. Too bad…
Thank you

I noticed the Aggressor livery has mismatched CFT pods (Desert camo) I passed it onto SC Design and they will correct on next update.

One thing I’ve noticed is the aircraft seems to hate entering clouds, as in it tanks the FPS..

Flying around clouds is fine, the performance hit only occurs when entering them.

Even if it’s a clear day with a few small clouds about, flying though one still causes the same judder as it would if it were a sky full of cumulus clouds, so it doesn’t appear to be a hardware limitation.

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the cockpit tint? As the external camera is fine.

I own this plane too, i fly in VR and i have a question:

Is it normal that my performance is down by 12.5fps compared to the DCD F-15 Flying the same route?
Is the F-16 so much more power hungry for the system?
DCD F-15 - 40.5fps
SC F-16 - 28fps

Ryzen 5950x
Amd 6900xt
64gb ddr4 3600
HP reverb g2

Not sure but I suspect it’s the FLIR screen as the F-16 is the only one that has it and all screens are a resource-hog.

Was parked up and watching an F15 flying circuits but something didn’t look right. Following the aircraft with the showcase camera I found the issue…

Thats not an f16

That’s a Eagle, not a F16

It is, however, hilarious.

Correct I meant to post it in the F15 topic.

This is something I’ve noticed in hangar view, things starting to show up on airplanes such as tanks and other equipment that should not. I think Asobo have been tinkering / breaking things again and this is the unfortunate result :frowning:
