The F/A-18 launch bar toggle is backwards on the F/A-18 Super Hornet.
When the toggle is in the “EXTEND” (down) position it is visually up and the aircraft can steer.
When the toggle is in the “RETRACT” (up) position it is visually down and the aircraft can not steer.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Start a flight as an F/A-18 on a runway.
Observe the launch bar toggle is in the “EXTEND” (down) position.
Observe the launch bar is visually up.
Observe the aircraft can steer when NWS is engaged.
Toggle launch bar to “RETRACT” (up) position.
Observe the launch bar is visually down.
Observe the aircraft is unable to steer while NWS is still engaged.
Throw on full throttles and watch as the launch bar raises, the toggle goes back to EXTEND (down) position, and the aircraft can be steered with the NWS engaged.
