Can someone confirm that it doesn’t have the multiplayer sound bug that other Carenado aircraft have suffered from? Want to be sure it doesn’t have it before I part with my money.
You can work around this by setting the Zoom Function to “Focus” in the Settings menu, under Camera.
It will disable zooming with the scroll wheel
Very usefull when you use your mouse to interact with the cockpit.
Xbox? Not a single CTD for me with this one on PC. Probably something else.
Didn’t get one. Upgrade your PC or empty your Community folder.
Nope. That was an H35, one of the earlier ones from 1957. This is a V35B, the final production model from 1970. It’s quite different and - thank all of the gods - it’s the same model V35 that A2A did for P3D so it looks how all the V35 fanboys (which includes me) are used to V35’s looking. Hopefully this means it won’t get all the complaints about it’s the wrong shape / the windscreen is wrong / it’s missing the back window yada yada yada that the (accurately modelled H35) BRSim one had.
In any case, I’m a sucker for a good V35 and the A2A one is literally years away, so this one will be turning up in my hanger 3-4 minutes after the sim loads
Just completed the first flight, shot the ILS in Sioux City no problem and buttered it. Such a cool plane!
Yes encrypted, when will Asobo finally unlock those cfg´s !?!?
KAVX Catalina
One of my favorite GA aircraft of all time, very nice surprise to see this pop up today. Completed my first flight, overall I think it’s very good so far. Other than the breakers I only found a handful of inop switches which is a nice change from the Beech 18 which had a lot. Beautiful interior and everything mapped nicely to my yoke and throttle quadrant. The old POH in the footwell is a nice touch.
Didn’t see a click spot for a tablet, but the Beech18 didn’t have one either. Can’t speak to the accuracy of the flight model but it was a fun flight. Had to trim a lot on take-off.
Edited to say found a few inop switches.
None of the aircraft Carenado does for Asobo have the tablets and associated features that the aircraft they “publish” themselves do. Not sure why that is.
You can also unbind the zoom functions from the mouse wheel in settings → controls → mouse, or better yet add a button so you have to hold down right or middle button while zooming to avoid accidents.
Yes, that’s another good option
Or you could just move the mouse away from where the top of the trim wheel is before you scroll …

Because the ones for Microsoft cost 15,-€ and the “real” Carenados cost between 25,- and 30,-€ I would guess …

There are plenty of photos of real H35s out there to compare and confirm that the BRSim version does not look right. Even if it did, the Carenado version is on a different level altogether in terms of modelling and texturing. No comparison.
First flight done. Looks good, flies good, sounds like a Carenado plane , works for me If I want accurate sounds (or a manual LOL) I still have the A2A bird installed in P3D
Nah, Carenado’s $15 offerings like the Cessna 170 have the tablet.
As far as I remember the C170 used to be in the 20,-€ range too when it came out, wasn’t it?
In any case. The C170 is a far more primitve plane than a Bonanza, and a normal Bonanza would have cost between 25-30,-€ if Carenado had published it. Even though this plane was done by Carenado,
it was done FOR Microsoft, and Microsoft surely had some say in what the plane should be like.
Fact is: none of the Famous Flyer or Local Legends has an EFB.
No. The C170B has always been $15. Same with their Waco biplane and it has a tablet as well. Carenado self-published planes have one regardless of price point, Carenado planes made for Asobo don’t, without exception. So I have to assume MS/Asobo told them not to include it. Maybe so that people don’t ask where it is in LL/FF releases from other devs.
