Here’s a weird one. The ADF’s power state is coded to the KAP 150 head unit’s power state. In other words, if the ADF is off, the KAP 150 head unit is off and likewise if the ADF is on, the KAP 150 is on.
You can see this on the ground, easily. Spawn C&D, power up the aircraft and avionics and then, with the ADF off, press the KAP 150’s test button and note nothing lights up on the display. Now, turn on the ADF and then press the KAP 150’s test button and note now it lights up.
I’ve also added clarification to this bug report regarding the AP’s behavior with and without the WT GNS 530 add-on installed. The WT GNS is absolutely breaking the behavior of the KAP 150 and KAS 297 units on this aircraft. This has to be addressed by Microsoft – their aircraft and their avionics improvement to the sim are in conflict.
How’s the situation with this plane after SU13? AP/GPS issues still there? Would you still recommend
Bonanza V35B to someone looking for six pack + GNS530 combo and make upgrade from Carenado C170B? Or is it better to look in Carenado 182 RGII direction? Something else, arround 20 €?
Playing on XboX, thanks for the input!
If you read the post above yours, I gathered that information during SU13 beta. The issue hasn’t been resolved.
I flew this a bit recently, don’t think there’s anything wrong with AP/GNS?
It doesn’t work correctly. If you follow some of the earlier posts along with the real world manuals, the systems behavior is incorrect.
I think we all still enjoy flying this, regardless. I don’t think anyone is expecting anything study level for the price.
I really like this aircraft and, as an Xbox user, I don’t have any other bonanza options in the marketplace. (V-tail or otherwise)
The Bonanza V35 is very nice. Good textures (for the Xbox S series)
I love it.
The C182RG is very nice too, textures are really amazing! (best textures I saw on the Xbox S serie)
But stutters on final sometime, since SU13.
For ME the point is: it does work. It may not work exactly as in real life, but since I will most likely never fly a Bonanza with exactly this kind of equipment I will never know the difference. I am not big about looking for discrepancies in that regard. Especially not in a 15,- EUR plane that looks this gorgeous.
Just like I will never know whether the flight model of the F4F Wildcat corresponds to a real one, or ANY of us will ever know if the Do X even remotely behaves realistically.
Realism is important to me but sometimes enjoying what I have is more important.
I had a nice flight in the V35 today. The previous problems with the autopilot altitude function are no longer present. It worked as it should.
really??? Has there been some sort of update? Will have to try it this weekend!
No updates. This is the first time I have flown it since the last SU. Dont know what fixed it.
Well I tried using it again this weekend and still had the issues
All of a sudden, the weight and balance chart appears on startup. How do I remove it?
This can happen when you start Cold & Dark at a refueling ramp spot (has a fuel station/equipment).
That’s exactly it - thanks!
Is there a chance Black Square is overhauling it?
This MASTERPIECE urgently deserves intense Black Square treatment!!
There are some interesting interior mods for this one on FSTO.
This one for example modifies the blacksquare Baron in the style of the V35 : Baron V35 Style Interior for BlackSquare Models for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS
And Crispy makes some stunning interior and panel modifications for the v35 in his liveries as well:

These are really beautyful!
But I was hoping for the extreme system realism, failures, functional circuit breakers, and realistic engine behaviour Black Square is adding to their planes
And of course the unrivaled Black Square EDM700 engine gauge (for leaning but also to check the horsepower on propeller shaft).
There is no aircraft that is more comfortable and beautyful and stylish inside than the V35. These seats in the V35 look softer and more ergonomic than my couch
When your primary customers are successful Doctors and Lawyers you can afford to do that.
There is no aircraft that is more beautyful and cozy than the Beechcraft Bonanza V35.
If there is one plane that really deserves the Black Square treatment - it´s this one.
The announcement of Blacksquare doing the V35 next will be the greatest day in flight simming history!
I could not think of a mansion living room more comfortable and luxurious and epic than this plane´s interior
Have you ever seen a plane more cozy and beautyful than this?
It not only deserves the Black Square treatment it would be an atrocity to ignore this most beautyful masterpiece of a virtual cockpit ever programmed.
