FBW SimBrief waypoints

Hey there,

whenever I create a trip in SimBrief (let’s say it has 6 waypoints) and than I implement it to the FBW FMS I get the general flightplan with destination/ arrival and some waypoints but not all. So my question is why doesn’t show all waypoints up in the FMS (Flightplan) like it is in SimBrief. Cause that changed the route I have to fly. I only can implement the waypoints manually, but is there any other workaround to implement the SimBrief route exactly like it is created? And yes SID/ STARS are implemented manually…

Does anyone know a solution?

Thank you.

Are the missing waypoint eventually connected by the same airway? Can you give an example plan?

Hey.
It’s seen on the pictures I’ve uploaded.

In SimBrief I get the following route: YSSY ENTRA BANDA TOJAM CG MAKRU ITIDE YBSU

and in the FMS I only get: YSSY ENTRA BANDA DECEL YBSU

Thank you.

It looks like you haven’t input anything after BANDA from your screenshot?

They fixed a bug today where the simbrief import was putting in your destination as a fix which was causing some strange behaviour on import. Looks like that could have happened here too?

Maybe connected to the FMS not finding some waypoints when you key them in? Has happened to me on the last couple of flights, at least.

That’s his point, that the FMS is selectively omitting waypoints on import.

This is also a fair point, there could also simply be a discrepancy between simbrief and the sim (if you are not updating the AIRAC cycle in simbrief).

You could check this by using the search box on the word map and searching for one of the fixes it missed.

Thanks…yeah gonna try that.
I just thought it’s time saving when importing Simbrief, instead of putting all the waypoints in manually.

Thanks you.

Are you using the same AIRAC cycle in Simbrief as MSFS?

I see this sometimes because I’m using the default 2003 AIRAC in Simbrief, but MSFS is much newer, thus there are some incompatibilities. I would need a Navigraph account and the newest AIRAC to fix it.

Looks like a mismatch of the used AIRAC cycle between Simbrief and MSFS indeed. Without Navigraph subscription and keeping them identical … no chance to get reliably the same routings. There is a page within the FBW MCDU that shows the version of the AIRAC used. Compare that with the on used in SimBrief.
