I bought the a320 fenix but i dont fly on vatsim i just fly in offline with atc azure
The plane seems like its not compatible with the msfs offline mode, its only made for vatsim and online networks. I tried to load my flight plan from the mcdu didnt work with atc, tried to load it from simbrief also didnt work with atc, tried to set the flight plan from the world map it worked and after i took off the atc canceled my flight plan and atis started to bug and didnt stop talking, and the airplane wasnt following the track and couldnt disconnect the heading from autopilot. Any advice or is this plane refundable since i wont use vatsim. Thanks
Moved to #third-party-addon-discussion:aircraft which is more appropriate
I tend to load a flight plan, from Simbrief, into both the A320 (EFB and MCDU) and into the MSFS World Map, via a .pln file.
The .pln file is exported from Simbrief, as an FS2020 file, which is one of the options once you have generated the flight plan. This can then be loaded into the world map, for atc purposes, via āmoreā and then āload/saveā at the bottom of the world map screen.
How do i do it sorry but im new on the sim
First off, create your simBrief flight plan, which it sounds like you know how to do.
Once you are happy with the plan, press the āGenerate Flightā button.
When simBrief has finished generating the flight, scroll all the way to the bottom, to where it lists all of the file types you can export to. You are looking for the āFS2020ā option, which will name a file with a ā.plnā extension. Click on āDownloadā and it will put the file, very quickly, into your usual Windows download folder.
Go to the MSFS World Map screen and from the options along the bottom of the screen, select āmoreā, then select āload/saveā. (iām not at my sim pc atm, so these may not be spot on, but it should be obvious which options iām talking about).
Navigate to your download folder and select the file that youāve just downloaded and press the āOKā button. That should load the flight into the world map, in enough detail for the MSFS ATC to provide guidance. You should be able to move your starting point to a stand or parking spot.
Press the āFlyā button and once on the tarmac, you can go through the usual process of loading the currently active simBrief flight plan into the MCDU and into the EFB.
Make sure you have the ATC window open and interact with that as appropriate, throughout the flight.
Happy flying.
Alright thank hou will try it
Iām having a problem with this process.
After I load the Simbrief exported .pln file it has me departing from an active runway. When I go to move my location to a stand the entire flight plan is replaced by MSFS calculated plan options. The Simbrief route is completely gone.
If I change the departure to a stand BEFORE I load the .pln file⦠the departure point is updated to an active runway again when the file loads.
Does anyone know how to make this work? (Iām on SU9)
When you have loaded the .pln select the stand using only the drop-down list - donāt click on the map. This should keep the plan as loaded - it does for me.
I have tried both drop down and map and both options cause it the routing to be changed for me.
I should have clarified that.
Thanks for confirmation that it works for you using drop down. Iāll try it with a different flight plan.
I wonder if there might be something else, in the settings, that might determine whether the drop down list or map clicks work better for amending imported flight plans, as different users do appear to see different behaviour.
Iāve not had any difficulties with map clicks, to select a gate/parking spot/ramp and hadnāt bothered to try the drop down list, so Iāll give that a try and see whether that works as well.
