They can not deny it ever existed because my bug report includes a screenshot of the splash screen …

Hmm still trying to find some easter egg to activate the splash screen in the cfg’s somewhere… 
I wrote a custom launcher based on the MSFS SDK tool: fsdevmodelauncher. It launches the sim with a splash screen. It initially launches a config dialog which can be dismissed for subsequent launches. You can get it here (Open source): https://github.com/Jamie-MIDIOX/MFSLaunch/releases/
