Hi all. Please bear with me here. I use a Logitech flight yoke system with the sim and all was good until last week. I was setting up separate flight controls for 3 aircraft, Cessna 172(G1000). Bonanaza G36 with and without the improvement mod ,and the Cessna 208. Working on the Ceassna 208 I was setting the throttle on the quadrant using throttle axis but when I went back to test it, all I had was full throttle or no throttle. It was the same with the propeller and the mixture settings.
I tried to clear the settings and redo but no luck, plus I have a ghost axis line all the time after I cleared the setting. ( screen shot included)I have uninstalled the flight yoke 3 times, have made sure I am on modern not legacy, tried the repair function in app settings, and anything else I could find in the forums that might help.
I downloaded Xplane 11 demo, the flight yoke system worked correctly. I connected my joystick to msfs, set the throttle axis and that works correctly. Cant figure how I screwed this up.
Bind your lever to “Throttle 1” axis instead of “Throttle”
Thanks, I Tried it, didn’t work either
If I reset or even uninstall and reinstall msfs, will that reset the current control settings ?
No, your settings are kept in the cloud and will be restored.
The reason seems to be that you have not bound your throttle to the command.
Follow the line across.
If you look at the box in the column under the word Cessna, you have nothing entered.
Left click on that box and select “Start Scanning”
Hit Validate when the throttle lever is displayed.
Actually I had bound it to there , this was after cleared it, hit validate, the axis was removed but this line stayed, like it was stuck.
Yes, it does that.
It is there for when you do bind to it.
Even in your upper pic there is no command bound
I tried Throttle axis, throttle axis 1, different degree axis’s, small axis, the throttle still only moves full on of off…crazy i know. Not only the throttle but if I bind the propeller or the mixture setting, they react the same…full on or off
Did you try deleting that profile, and then making a new one with a slightly different name?
yes…quite a few times
so, if i delete all profiles, just have the default settings, disconnect my hardware, exit the sim, will all of my profile tweeking I have been doing remain in the cloud?
Yes, they will.
Do you have any addons in your community folder?
If so, remove those and try.
Edit:, no not if you have deleted them first.
But that probably won’t fix your issue.
If you delete the profile and it still happens with a new one and different name, something is causing that .
tried that. I actually thought it might be the Bonanza Improvement add on but even with my community folder empty I have the same issue. Can you delete aircraft from marketplace and reinstall them again? It just seemed like a hang up between the hardware and profiles. Thanks for all your help with this by the way…
Yes, most certainly you can.
No prob with the help, solving issues is the main thing!!
This is my first major issue but I can fly with the joystick workaround, it just not what i want. Odd that the joystick throttle works fine but not the quadrant.
Yes it is, I have that same quadrant.
Do you have the joystick plugged in at the same time?
I do. I just gave this a try yesterday to see if that would work. I wish there was a way to reset the control settings and start fresh
Unplug the joystick and see if that is the issue.
I did that this morning. No difference. I unplugged both and then plugged the yoke system back in. The yoke works correctly just not the quadrant
