Flight Sim Wings - G1000 & Steam Gauge Panels in MSFS2020 - PLEASE HELP

I am STILL having incredibly frustrating problems getting the FSW (Flight Sim Wings) G1000 and Steam Gauge Panels working in MSFS2000.

Althought the 3xUSB devices (PFD, MFD and Audio panel) devices are clearly present and correct on my PC, when their software FSW panelbuilder/FSUIPC7 attempts to connect them to (e.g a G1000 aircraft in MSFS2020), it simply just doesn’t work.

With help from the FSW tech team, on multiple occasions, we just cannot get the hardware to work with the software.

I have done a complete W11 re-install and re-install of MSFS20.

I still cannot get it to work.

If anyone can give me ANY clue as to what is going on, I would be eternally grateful.

The machine is: Intel i9-10990KF, MSI MEG Z490 UNIFY, 64GB DDR-3200, MSI RTX 4090

Do these devices need a lot of power? I wonder if a powered USB hub might help? I use those for my three StreamDecks. You can get them pretty cheap from Amazon.

Yeah, FSW devices aren’t cheap, so I hope you find success in this.

Hi Steve. Thanks for your reply. The FSW screen comes with it’s own 4 USB powered hub inside. However, as I also connect a honeycomb alpha, Bravo and rudder USBs, I also bought a separate USB card just to see if that resolved the problem. It didn’t.

I have also fiddled around with the power settings (disabling all the advanced power settings).

I’m not certain if this is a hardware issue, or a software issue but I have briefly tried with Xplane with the same results.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated!

Dave
