Hi!
Thank you for your advice ! Already in the FCR now you can TRIGGER CHANGE CAMERA using CameraChange feature. You can go at a determinated point of your replay , click the correct button under the slider and program a changecamera at that point … I send you a pvt message and you can explain me well
Ah i analyzed well your picture ! You trying to render a NON recorded flight . In update build it will be fixed , because video rendering you must use only with a Replay loaded , video rendering framebyframe is allowed when you loaded a replay
Hi, great work i really like your tool! Is live weather also being recorded? I always seem to have the currently set weather if I load any replay
Well, I decided to try this but unfortunately, it is consistently crashing MSFS every time on playback. I made a recording, saved as .fcr file. I also installed what was asked in the readme. However, when I try to replay, its fine for about 30 seconds, then it stutters and crashes MSFS. Very frustrating. Maybe I am missing something?
Hi! You need or put ai offline and g.a slider and airline slider to 0 or use “load replay without initial situation”. It is not a fcr issue but msfs issue
How can it be a msfs issue when the two freeware recorders both allow AI offline aircraft without any problems ??
Flightcontrolreplay save also flight situation at the moment of start record . This must be loaded from msfs . MSFS has an api called simconnect-flightload that save a flight and a create a file. Msfs has a bug here . You can workaround that putting ai slider to zero and put aioffline OR use “load record without initial situation” option in fcr . This bug is present in the msfs code since release . Believe me
Just answered a similar question here:
Can someone put this in basic language please. I am not a computer programmer and I got lost trying to get this going.
In next couple of days i ll RELEASE OF MARCH UPDATE THAT WILL BRING: a lot of behaviour fixes and Will bring ZERO Stutters and jitter ! The only recorder that guarantee this smooth experience ! Thanks to Performance optimisation of my custom algorithm . Obviously FREE FOR ALL USERS
Adding to that there will be some youtubers that will post tutorial for take the maximim experience with FlightControlReplay and I ll post also a couple of video that show you how it works , show you stunning experience !
Thanks, hopefully this comes with updates in the future. I had some very spectacular weather on some recordings which i can’t recreate with presets.
Happy to help but can you clarify what you’re struggling with? Are you able to get FCR up and running at all or is there something specific to need some help with?
Don’t know if that will be possible or not, especially if you exit the replay and continue the live flight - might mean a jarring weather change!
That hasn’t been a Problem for me in other Flightsims. I personally would really enjoy Replays with the live conditions they have been recorded.
I’ve updated the review I did for FCR now I’ve used it a bit more and the dev kindly let me try out a preview version of the upcoming March update version (which is awesome and made a big improvement for me).
HI Gordon, I was a bit daunted by all the extras I had to download. I was worried about loads and slow speeds etc. I have had that sorted by my computer guru and ready to go. Just need XBox to get back up and I will ive it a try. I do notice there are many bits N/A to msfs. Will these be upgraded at any stage? Thanks for your help.
That is currently not yet possible: “flight recorder” tools connect with FS 2020 via what is called “SimConnect”, an application programming interface (API) first introduced with FS X and by now supported by a variety of other flight simulators as well (including FS 2020, of course).
Now the point here is that the whole API related to the weather in FS 2020 is non-functional, as per the developer documentation. And not only that: it has been marked “deprecated”, read: “Won’t be implemented” (in that form).
The reason: the whole weather system in FS 2020 has been fundamentally changed since the times with FSX (and one can easily believe that ;)), so the existing SimConnect API for setting/getting weather conditions does not make any sense anymore.
Whether a future version of SimConnect for FS 2020 will provide more functionality with regards to “weather” we will see. However I’d imagine that in the best case you could perhaps set the initial weather conditions based on “pre-defined scenarios”. But everything “real world weather” related is probably impossible, as those weather reports are not persisted anywhere (for sure not in FS 2020 / on your local machine). And the cloud movements etc. are simulated, and storing all influencing factors (temperature changes, local winds, pressure changes, …) would probably way too much information to store for a simple flight recorder…
But again, we’ll see.
Thank you, let’s wait and see than. Perhaps if they release their own integrated replay function some day.
