Just an FYI… I was getting spotty response turning the encoders, with the manufacturer’s software… deleted it, then used SPAD .. (there is an online snippet for all GNS 530 functions).. now precise response…
SPAD is pretty awesome. I’ve been binding events to my plane’s systems for a few months, and I feel like I know about 10% of its capabilities. Online snippets are helpful, for sure.
Yeah.. I’ve learned enough, to have gone through it all.. one button/knob at a time.. data/event monitor.. etc.. but this snippet (thanks to jalfrezi#8081), is complete…
It must be something regarding “scan” timing… how the manufacture’s software went about “pinging” for button presses)… because the encoder knobs requires lotsa turning… whereas with SPAD, each detent was recognized… it makes a huge difference, in a busy cockpit..
