Surprised nobody is talking about this. Arrived in my email box a couple of days ago.
Not really “my thing” but it does look and sound pretty good and not ALL about airliners. Anyone tried?

Saw a video on a test of this and the complexity of the setup involved was daunting. I got bored watching the guy struggle with incredibly nerd-like stuff and endless waiting screens just to pump out some schedules. It was followed by a childish animation screen of two people talking to you telling you what an utter challenge was ahead. My eyes were bleeding at that time and turned it off. For a product costing about $40, it should be far more user friendly. I saw no fun ahead, just work.
They did mention a free play mode where you can skip the grind… Looks interesting and certainly better than the default career mode
I got suckered into this one. Fly the line is a full release, the tracking of the cruise altitude doesn’t work. It doesn’t track flaps or lights correctly so you always lose points for those. I set my cruise altitude to 8K feet in simbrief and for some reason Fly the Line forces it to 9K feet and then never comes out of climb mode. It seems to be more focused on your avatar and how they feel then an actual career mode. This just generates schedules and scores you on how well you flew them and 90 percent of the scoring points it supposedly monitor are not working. Buyer beware, stay clear of this one.
Oooffff. Thanks for TOFTT! Suggest you request a refund mate?
I purchased FTL from Just Flight and I have to say that I love it. I find it very simple and intuitive to use.
It’s certainly recorded my flight details correctly, including flap settings. I even turned on real-time data so I could see exactly what the app was recording as I flew.
Can anyone confirm we can use/edit a custom airport database. I don´t like to fly to Asobo standard airports and only addon airports or Asobo premium airports.
When possible i will try it out.
The software scans your community folder and it can see if you have add-on airports, which it highlights. You can tell the software to prioritise add-on airports over default when it makes the flight plan schedules for you. I haven’t seen the ability to manually edit the database.
This software will not run with msfs2020 as stated, but seems ok with fs2024. Anyone got the same problem?
unclear on what your particular issue is. it’s working fine for me in '20
ROOoster, you need to ensure your aircraft is setup correct in Add Aircraft section. If the minimum altitude is set to 9000, then the software will not allow simbrief altitudes lower tnan 9000. Same thing for your speeds.
Sorry but set it up correctly before making those claims.
Hilarious. Not going to make further comment but hilarious.
FTL will not dispatch flight in FS2020 but using FS2024 every thing is fine. I much prefer FS2020 so its bugging me, any ideas.
It is setup correctly I even put the plane designator in FTL, Simbrief sets up the flight for 8000 feet when fly the line gets the information it sets the slide bar that you can set the cruise altitude to to 9000 feet and won’t allow it to go any lower. Even when I ignore what simbrief says and clime to 9000 feet to appease the FTL locked setting FTL still doesn’t register that I have at cruise altitude, I climbed above and below and FTL never registers that I am at cruise altitude. Just the fact that Simbrief sets the cruise to 8000 feet and then FTL locks the slide bar at 9000 feet shows their is something wrong with FTL. Please don’t accuse someone of not setting up something correctly before you start accusing someone otherwise. I have thoroughly tested and tried to make it work. I went into this experience excited for a new career option for MSFS 2024.
Can you check the Airplanes section and check what the minimum altitude is for the aircraft you’re flying?
You’d be better off contacting JF support.
Can we pause the sim, for instance, in the TOD? I read somewhere, that it is not possible, because FTL uses real time to complete the flight on schedule. This is a major drawback for me. Usually I let the plane flying during the night. APL ( A Pilot’s Life) give me a penalty, but does not end my flight
I paused it mid-flight and the timer stopped until I un-paused- Seemed to work fine for me…
Short Haul Edition … maybe this means there will be additional editions in the future? Like Bush Flight Edition perhaps?
ohh that’d be cool, if it could set up some bush flights or floatplane flights to remote lakes that would be worth a shot for me. DHC2 Beaver on floats FTW
