I’ve got a sawzall here and … a demo blade or a wood blade. Which do you think would get through my flesh and bone easier? I’m hoping to get through this without passing out, although my Honeycomb Bravo is going to be rather worthless after this. (for those of you that don’t get it, this is a joke.)
I am really excited now as more and more release come to shape this year.
I wonder how long BETA will take
They are all coming at the same time omg! xDD
There’s probably a specific “flesh and bone” blade that would be best
I can’t wait for this bird!! When I was much younger (~14), pre-9/11, my father worked at Airborne Express. He had to go in on a Saturday, so he took me in with him. He had to finish a maintenance sign off and run up on a DC-9. I got to “help” him do the run up to full throttle with brakes/chocks on. Equally the scariest and most fun I’ve ever had. I’ve been working in Aviation ever since. Thanks Dad.
I’m so hyped up for this bird ! The rotate MD-80 was my favorite plane in X-Plane and I was afraid it would take si many Time before we could see anything other than Airbuses or Boeings when liners would Come. So great that an MD80 is just as close and by the most respected dev regarding this plane.
Plus, it looks gorgeous, texturing and modelling doesn’t seem to have been left behind as is so often the case
Wow the Maddog in beta phase! (And the insane graphics card prices declining to normalcy.) Now this is great news! Having the CRJ and the MadDog in the hangar will put the Flight Sim to the next level.
This is very good news. A happy Monday!!!
Just be warned the Open Beta in the topic heading is regarding P3D. But following that announcement there is a further major update on the MSFS Maddog progress (in closed beta) including the features which will be included and fresh screenshots
Can someone tell the difference between a real cockpit photography and the Maddog cockpit?
This superb addon plane quality is exactly what the Flight Sim 20 needs. All the P3D and X-Plane pilots from near and far will defect and abandon their simulators and come to fly Flight Sim 20!
Altough still not perfect, they certainly nailed a quite photorealistic look with their texturing knowledge that very few third party devs have managed to come close to. And it certainly looks on par with what to expect of something running with MSFS technology.
Lucky has it, the MD-80 is my all time favorite liner to fly with! I just can’t wait for this one
Nearly all my liner flights in XPlane were with the Rotate MD-80 which was very nice but didn’t even came close to looking like this (and cockpit look and fidelity is so important as well as system accuracy).
I have flown the Leonardo MD-80 (but I don´t remember if it was on P3D or FSX, sorry it has been ten years or so *gg) and I can assure you it will be a PERFECT experience.
The plane looks absolute awesome eighties-style with illuminated displays everywhere and is also very talkative with it´s computer-voice.
If you like the Aerosoft CRJ you will love the Maddog because it´s literally the eighties version of the CRJ.
LOL! Is that your Italian Greyhound? I have two!
That’s a perfect description. I’ve never flown one in a sim or RL, but I used to fly in them all the time before American finally retired them. Absolutely love the way they handled (as a passenger), second to none.
What I love with this plane is that it’s so “one foot in the vintage era, one foot in the modern era”.
Yes, it absolutely does! Thank you for sharing that. Neat video!!!
Now this is some cool video giving a perfect overview of the mood and flair of this cockpit. It feels awesome eighties retro-tech.
But the statement about how quiet the plane is… is clearly not true because even with the engines and the APU switched off this loud background noise is absolutely annoying.
Is this just the gyro or what is this constant loud background noise in the cockpit?
Unfortunately no, I don´t have any pets currently and just googled for dogs making funny faces to fit the Maddog merchandise and Maddog PR
But this dog breed looks very cute… like a Chihuahua and a deer with very long neck and legs. If I will ever get a dog I would probably get this breed because it looks very cute. (Or Pomeranian.)
Oh and look at this impressive vid. Even the engine maintenance hatches can be opened (at 01:36)
That’s not a bad description at all. They’re kinda a fragile breed (legs). Sometimes have issues with seizures. We love 'em though.
Will check out your video in just a bit!
