Since the NDA for pictures is lifted for beta testers, there are a lot of pictures from the beta of the Maddog posted already at Avsim: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/616126-leonardo-md-beta-pics-for-msfs/

Here a few pics that Steve Dra posted from the beta:

Go check out the pictures yourself, I posted the link above.

Has there been any indication of a release date?

Since they lifted NDA, I’d say it’s pretty close! Probably a matter of weeks now

There is a post on their forum from Stefano from march 1st, stating that they do not have a release date yet.
It is an interesting read though concerning the development for msfs2020

There has been a surge of news and then nothings all of the sudden, probably waiting for SU9 before next news

That VSI needle during rotate…

Is that a bug or an MD80 ‘quirk’? :slightly_smiling_face:

A quirk of some VSI. You can see in this video (and others) the real aircraft also indicates a descent during the rotation. About 03:50

OMG that looks incredible!!!
Will be able to recreate a SAS flight I did when I was a kid…
Any Kiwis that had memories flooding back to the closest Air New Zealand 737-200 observation deck in the 90s near you and buzzing out with those stairs folding and unfolding

Is the physical wing movements (i.e. minor flexes, turbulence. etc.) modeled?

That’s pretty cool! Flew a lot of times in MD80/DC9s.
Just don’t get stuck in the last two rows.

My wife is a long time flight attendant at Hawaiian Air. The DC19-30/-50 were certainly loud! The Boeing 717 isn’t much quieter back there.

Really lookin forward to the Mad Dog!

appears so, just on rotation you can see flex…not much though

The sad bit is the raindrop effects still looks weird in the windows and wipers seems not having effects as it’s the default Asobo effects apparently
