Looks great!
Its happening! Just 5 days to go!
"Hi captains,
I don’t get lost in chatter talk but I’ll tell you immediately what many of you have been waiting to know for quite some time: the release date is set for April the 30th 2022 and the price will be 75 € + VAT. Fly the Maddog X will be available via SimMarket only.
I could add so many details but I will do it in the next few days, the most important thing is the addition of the EFB, initially not planned in the feature list, and the introduction of a new 3D model for the passenger cabin in line with the new graphic standards of FS2020.
See you soon in MSFS2020!"
It is! I can’t believe they are releasing before the 737 lol !
I hope it will be available for purchase outside simmarket.
Looks like a premium product!
And with an EFB which the almighty elite dev for flight sims can’t manage to deliver on release.
Will it release in the marketplace?
Doesn’t matter, due to actually marketing their plane, including the ingame marketplace and very likely having a very competitive pricing structure PMDG will sell their 737 hand over fist.
For all the praises this addon will undoubtedly get from the hardcore portion of the playerbase its not really doing itself any favours in gaining engagement outside of that circle.
Please can the developers let us know what time the MD 80 will be released on Simmarket for sale tomorrow (Saturday 30 April 2022)? We are all eagerly anticipating!
No one here brave enough to buy it today?
Personally I’m waiting a while to see how it is and listen to the early adopters.

Plenty of people, but I think they are all in the other thread about the maddog
Personally I love it and think it’s well worth the money. It’s a study level complex aircraft with some automation but also feels out of the 80s lol. It could use some better texture work in places but I don’t have any complaints about flying or features. Also I only paid 75 euro with taxes but some say it’s 90 euro with VAT. Guess that one depends on where you live.
To install liveries, download them from the link in the included document with the MadDog installer. Then you gotta go into your Documents → MadDog X Files → MSFS 2020 → Liveries. Just put the .zip files there. Then load the MadDog X Load Manager.
The DC10 and the G3 would do this as well. They would indicate 500 fpm.
