Any news on this one?

Yes… Everything is currently ready and packed. I am waiting for Microsoft to deliver localization files that are necessary for marketplace. If it takes longer than few days it will be released on the 3rd party stores first. Thanks for the patience guys. Doing the best I can. You already know how these things go…

As you already know guys, S6S v 1.3 has been released on the sim market, ini builds and soon to be orbx. For those that got the rans on marketplace I will ask for few more days of patience. In the good faith and for the release of latest update, rans is 20% off for those who want to get it for the weekend on 3rd party stores. Hope you guys have fun with this one.

Anyone looking for the new goodies, they are on the back of the checklist. I am curious, what impacts engine health? If I run it hard it will break? Also, will the panel state save? Having the AP up there for example? Thanks for the update! Looking forward to the Amphib.

Answer to all your questions above is yes. For everyone who wants more info on the new features please take a look in the updated manual.

All these features will be further expanded as this is a stage 1 towards making this airplane truly study level. I will also soon finally start my own discord group and will forward a link here for all who are interested. There we will be able to discuss features, bugs and everything related for my projects. Thank you guy once more for the support

Just had my first float flight over Lake Havasu, AZ. I love everything you’ve done with the plane, just outstanding. The best keeps on getting better!

I took this bird for a little flight tonight and fell back in love with it. Unfortunately, halfway through the flight, I noticed that my oil pressure light was blinking. I barely made it to the runway. I’m just not used to following the checklists, I guess.

Thanks for the realism.

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying your time with the new update.
Just want to inform you that ORBX will probably release the update in Monday because of the weekend. I will also try to release it next week on the Marketplace if we get the description files(which we should). Rans is currently out on sim market and Inbuilds. For those who don’t own this aircraft yet its 20% off currently on both sim market and ini builds.
Thank you for your patience.

Not sure.
Next time I take her up I’ll make a thorough pre-flight check. Maybe I need to check the oil.

Since you suffered a damage that force you to land your aircraft (that variant) will be still in that state next time you load the sim.
Make sure you warm up the engine before takeoff and to keep it in green during flight.
Your oil system can get damaged now.
To repair the engine toggle the realism switch to off, wait 5 sec and then to on.
Hope that helps.
Oil and coolant would still need to be refilled manually so make sure you refer to manual in case you need help.
In case you want to fly without consequences. Turn the realism switch to off to disable it entirely.

Love it. Adds another level of fun having to watch temperatures and pressures for real. Thank you for also not having the temps jump up fast… they slowly rise as they should.

Great job guys, as always. The amphibious version is fantastic.
This plane keeps getting nicer and nicer.
However, I have a suggestion to make about the autopilot.
It don’t manage the pitch trim, it only use the elevator without changing the trim value.
As a result, when you turn off the autopilot, the trim is set to 0 instead of the correct value for the speed, causing a sudden nose-up.
To avoid this, simply change a value in the systems.cfg file.
Find the line:
pitch_use_elevator_only = 1
and change the value 1 to 0
This must be done for all four versions (default, floats, taildragger and trike_bush).
