One thing I would mention as well that could be fixed is that the RPM changes based on wind… which would not happen in real life. In a dive, yes of course… but cruising along you should not have to change the power.
Yes please!
Sorry for late reply. I had been on the vacation…
Yes the AP got overhauled and will have a AP oscillations fix and interface that allows you more control.
I am not sure what is happening with RPM but am pretty sure that is not a case with rans only. That is an MSFS thing that am not sure I can affect. I will look into it but I dont want to delay this update. It is wraped at this point.
Makes sense, no big deal just something I notice.
Yes, all feedback is good. I am always reading this thread and looking into what you guys need or if you find any bugs. S6S is a long term project that will be better and better. Planning to slowly transition it into full study level bush plane. It will take a bit and some more updates but we will get there. Lets see what FS2024 offers for us and take it from there.
This is very interesting airplane. I am in process of forming an team of passionate guys and we are looking for a bush plane to work on. We took this one into account. Looks really cool.
It is my go to plane. Flying on Xbox. It is the most chill I feel flying the Rans. Looking forward to the update and the journey. Well done.
My last flight in MSFS was December of last year. I’m getting back into it now and wanted to start fresh with something new (to me) and relatively simple. This plane is fantastic! I shied away from it initially because I’m not a fan of Rotax engines, or more specifically the Rotax’s sounds.
Best sounding Rotax in the sim to my ears and a real pleasure to fly. It scratches an itch that the Eurofox did for me in XP 11, but this one is much, much better. Looking forward to putting a lot of hours at the lower altitudes of the Pacific Northwest and my hometown of Crapville, Nebraska. Nice job!
So, any word on when the amphib version might be due? You said earlier it was ‘wrapped’.
Yes, all features that were planed for this update are done. I am just transferring them to all the other variants right now, testing it and sending it to the microsoft in a couple of days. Then its up to them. Considering experience I had last time it will probably take them a week or maybe even two till they push it on marketplace. So hopefully till the end of the month. Sorry you guys waited this long but this went far beyond the floats. Floats were done 3 months ago. IF its just that would be out long time ago.
But it will come to SimMarket as an update too right?
Yes offcourse. Update will be available on every store.
As it stands the Rans is excellent, and you could have left it at that. So, I’m sure I echo everyone when I say thank you for staying true to the ongoing development and improvement of your product. Looking forward to seeing what you’ve done.
Looks great, cant wait for update.
I fly original almost every day in vr.
Do those of us who bought from SimMarket, etc. have to wait for Marketplace to get it through their queue before we’ll see the update on other stores?
Just curious. And excited to try it!
Will the S21 have the G3X and Continental Titan engine?
To answer your questions guys…
Plan is to wait till the marketplace is ready to release the update and then push it out on all the stores but if that process is taking too long I will just release it on the stores regardless.
AS far as S21 go… answer is yes. It will have both analog and glass cockpit with possible multiple avionics packages. Original version was planed to have avionics developed from scratch but that is now on hold due to complexity and since G3X is now upgraded in sim its perfectly good option.
Titan engine is not planed in initial version. Reason for it is its underperforming on higher altitudes compared to Rotax, even being more powerful. I did think about adding a variant with it later. Included engine will initially be Rotax 916iS
Hope this answers your questions.
Hopefully the update is soon, after many months!
Just a heads-up for anyone who missed the mention of the awesome 61tree Studios liveries for the S6S (because I did), there are two free collections of super-well-done liveries, one real and one fictional, available on SimMarket. Really nice addition. The interior on the CANDO one is particularly fun.
Many of them are also available individually on Flightsim.to, but if you have a SimMarket account, the convenience of grabbing them all at once for free is nice.
