Flying out of the little grass strip at the north end of North Captiva Island, Salty Approach. The little cessna takes off like a helicopter. The eye wall is passing now. very impressive with the wind direction changes and rain. Everyone be safe with the real thing.

I did a couple of flights between Ft. Myers and Orlando. Pretty awesome how it’s represented in the SIM. Both airports are closed right now IRL so wasn’t sure if we’d get the metar or not but it’s there. I’ve have to live the real thing tonight as its projected to go right down my street. Figured I’d sim today while I still have power.

Im currently in clearwater in a motel.

Our power has been out since 12pm. Winds have picked up, but the worst is yet to come overnight.

I was going to turn back west and try to land back at Salty Approach, then I see this airfield to the east at the edge of my map. About 45 deg off runway heading and dropped down, 50ft of runout and stopped, lol
I wasn’t ready for what was coming. I crashed for the first time in months. There’s a F22 in the bay right now. It’s mine in case someone finds it. Lol

Well I got her down, -445fpm but I’ll take it, was almost sideways… got marked down in IAPL2 for landing rate, no surprise there!
Return leg tomorrow (back to Minneapolis).
I have to say, the weather immersion in this game is second to none, incredible, the clouds, lighting, lightning and rain plus sound is just huge immersion. Its an incredible sim.
