I think I found a visual bug.
My cockpit light do not have “rings” around them of just partially.
It looks physically implausible.
How do yours look like?
The second picture is cabin lights and they have “rings” as they should.

Oh ■■■■ you are right…
My life is a darker place now. This was my favorite GA private luxury plane
But I swear this bug was not there a few weeks or months ago (sorry I was always flying the Boeings and the Airbus during the last weeks), and the last time I was flying this plane and while I was making the interior textures I also took care of the correct aluminium reflections and overall look of these cockpit lights.
And these lights looked fully allright this summer - till late summer! Until the PMDG Boeing caught my interest and I kept flying Airbus and Boeing only. This but must have happend in the last … four weeks maybe? After some update?
I don´t know when this bug was intruduced for the first time but I must contact Flysimware tonight or tomorrow, the C414 is one of the most important and wonderful planes. It is important to get the flawless beautyful interior look back.
One other visual bug for me is the back wall of the aircraft interior. I’s a very low poly mirrored? reflection of the interior (you can see a distant cockpit). If it is meant to be a mirrored wall it doesn’t look like a mirror & just looks weird. Would be better as a simple wall texture, otherwise loving the 414. I never knew how much I needed a pressurised GA aircraft until buying this. FL140 cruising today. FL210 tomorrow.
Fear not, brave aviator! The fix for this mirror is one click away
It cat-magic: Rear bulkhead mirror be gone!
(And I hope you like bunnies because… hmm you will notice while checking the screenshots *ggg)
That looks much better. Will this mod with the in game marketplace version or will drm prevent me from using it?
Forgive me that I’m much relieved to know that it’s not only me.
I’m sure that FSW team will remedy this ASAP.
Could you tell me where to submit my feedback to them?
Though I got this plane just recently I already have some suggestions to improve it.
Join their Discord, which is where they deal with support issues and feedback.
I know the Xbox users are just joining the game when it comes to the C414 but many of your questions have already been asked and answered either in this long thread or other places so it’s worthwhile using search to see if the answer is already available. The mirror texture was discussed when it first released and almost everyone agrees it looks wrong but the real aircraft this is based on has the mirror so it seems it is staying.
It really doesn’t look like a mirror though. It looks like a nasty low pixelated mess.
Also seeing some weird light toggle behaviour. eg landing lights won’t toggle on unless taxi light switch is toggled too and other slightly strange things like that.
I’m on PC and just happen to have bought it this week through the marketplace. Enjoying flying it though.
Hm since day one the whole community is literally BEGGING the developers to remove this absolute disgusting looking, ugly, completely off and wrong looking rear bulkhead mirror because the real Cessna 414A does not have that.
With little to zero efforts so far
The developers have obviously put a huge amount of effort into recreating this aircraft for us all. It’s a real pleasure to have it to fly on the Xbox.
Now I feel waaaay better trying to save this lovely plane! Because this is my favorite private weekend aircraft.
Do you have the GNS530 mod installed? I had to remove this mod, as it was causing a conflict with the GTN750 avionics (in the GTN750 version of the 414 obviously). I’d try removing the GNS530 mod if you have it installed, and see if that sorts it out. The Garmin screens (on all versions) should come to life as soon as you flick the avionics switch (provided you have power).
As for that mirror, AFAIK the reason it’s there is because the exact aircraft they modeled does have it. I hate it as well, but that’s their reasoning I believe. I hope they eventually get rid of it for the sake of livery makers though.
The Cessna 414 is now available in the in-sim marketplace. I flew it for the first time today, and I loved it so much that I had to come write about it.
The horizontally-opposed engines are very stable. The aircraft does not tend to drift to either side while flying. It stays going straight. It requires very little trim to get the nose to stay level as well. Overall, it flies so straight and level with so little pilot input that it’s like it’s on auto-pilot, even when the auto-pilot isn’t enabled. A real joy to fly, this is going to be my go-to aircraft for now.
So I’m an idiot and when I get to between 16000 and 18000 my manifold and egt start bouncing. My aux pumps are on low and I know I’m doing or rather not doing something
In the manual, one performance at 20,000 feet is:
2300 RPM - 31 MP → 68.6 HP - 216 KTAS - 186 lb/hr
What I get is this:
210 KTAS GS (fine) - 125 lb/hr per motor (250 lb/hr total) with -50ºF lean EGT peak (not -25ºF)
Is that fuel consumption normal?
If you are on PC, make sure automixture is turned off in the MSFS assistance settings.
Same here. It is possible to lean much more aggressively without losing very much performance, but this is not realistic behavior.
I get 204TAS at 20000ft at 31’'/2300, leaning to 90lbs per side, 206TAS at 116lbs per side.
Settings: Clear skies, ISA temp, no wind, automixture off. The EDT doesnt change to much, still keeps the value.
I was thinking because the 414s engines are turbocharged, leaning does not matter as much.
